So, Elite Dangerous is a space sim that replicates a 1:1 scale of the galaxy that allows all players to inhabit, work and fly around in. Or so I've heard. This is a good way to dabble in the game before forking over the hard-earned cash for the full experience.

Main points about the Area Edition of Elite Dangerous:

• It's a standalone Multiplayer-only mode, as it's a Player vs. Player dogfight mode.
• Requires an internet connection to play.
• Requires an Xbox Gold subscription to play (but not to purchase).

  Elite is much less buggy and better visuals than NMS.
  Love this game, run it on an Oculus and it is so lifelike it is scary.
