I had coke cans one year after expiry; a number of bottles developed pinholes and started to leak. I'm not sure how beer would go in a can in comparison with Coke, but rather not risk getting sick for aluminium contamination..
I picked up few cases of 330ml Coke zero from a Dan Murphy deal. It was couple of weeks from expiry date. Some cans were half empty, I found a tiny hole on the bottom must of been leaking half a drop a day.

Yep, all cans (as well as any draught you have in a pub) are from Japan. It's the stubbies that are brewed elsewhere, which (fwiw) over the years in Australia I've bought ones that have been labelled as brewed in China, in SA (by Coopers), in Canada and I think Thailand.

Although, I managed to pick up a case for $49.75 moments ago at my local First Choice (VIC) using the price beat of Dan Murphys in conjunction with the $10 off $50 spend voucher floating around this site (thanks to altomic).
First Choice website is still showing $70.00, so I think you'll find it'll be in store only.
FYI, I have censored my local store from the receipt as I don't want 100's of people rocking up there. Should be able to get the same from your local First Choice so we can spread the load =)

Just want to confirm that the price match at first choice + $10 off voucher works.
What's even better that when the cashier enter in the price match price, she entered in $59.70 instead of $59.80, then made it $49.70 after the $10 voucher. I paid with my ING debit card to get 2% cashback which pretty much iced the cake :D
So, $49.70 - $0.994 cashback = $48.706, which is $2.03 for 500ML Asahi can. WINNING ON A FRIDAY!!!!!!!

I drank my lost and found 2L can which was way past best before date, still tastes fresh and nice
