    Great series of watches and a great price on that model. I'm rocking the all digital version. Just be aware that the analogue models only have two years battery life where the all digital ones are about 7 years.

      The bezel on these G-Shock watches/styles are huge. I'd say the watch face is around ~30mm's wide to the 55mm's of the body.

      Pretty sure you can have the bezels slimmer and still keep the "Shock guarantee" or quality if the watch was pure digital.
      (ie Has no analog/moving parts).

      Protrek PRG-270/300, but if you want a G-Shock you might wanna check out the Rangeman series GW-9400.

      Personally, I've been saving up for a Mudmaster GWG-1000.

        I've GDF-100 and it has altitude but is useless. It's just beyond inaccurate. At my home I'm about 30m+, but the current reading is 0m, and it ranges between -10 and 60. Temperature is also useless because it measures watch temp which is wildly different from air temp.

          ^agreed. Baro based alti (Casio/Suunto) can't really compete with modern accuracy of GPS+data based smartwatches i.e. Garmin Fenix 3

    Bought another colour which was a bit more expensive.. Worked out to be $100 AUD delivered anyway which is much cheaper than anywhere in aus

        These models are definitely oversized and marketed as such. Some of the classic G-Shock models are smaller/not as chunky. Most jewellers sell G-Shock's so just go try them on and then buy online.

          @ITveteran: gshocks has various city settings around the world. its not just USA.

          What i usually do is just set the mechanical hands a different time to the digital one when traveling.

      It will obviously have less features.
      In that price bracket you have two other classic Casio watches to decide on -
      Casio Diver MDV106-1AV
      Casio G-Shock DW5600E-1V

      All G-Shocks are tough and will take a beating. At this price point their functions are all fairly similar so it comes down to the size of watch you like to wear and the style. The one OP posted is the newer oversized series that came out a few years ago and might look odd on small wrists. The one you have posted looks like more of a classic G-Shock style. Spend more money though and you get more functions like Bluetooth for smart features, temp readings, altimeter, tides etc. So it depends what you want from your watch. I have the GD-100-1B with the all black face. I only take it off to sleep otherwise I wear it everywhere and it cops most abuse during the gym and home renos/working outside. I picked it up for $100 online and because of it I sold my Tag which got no love haha
