A few comments have arisen here regarding warranty from Amazon. I can confirm from online chat that:

  • Amazon will replace or refund the cost of the mobile phone if it becomes faulty within a year
  • Return postage to UK will also be refunded

I have used Amazon for years now (UK and US) and have had nothing but excellent experiences with returns and refunds. I would even state that I prefer buying from them over any other retailer locally or otherwise.

  • Has anyone purchased it and also did anyone try applying the discount code of 20% - AUTUMN16 as mentioned in HUKD???

Also just a quick question; I have optus/virgin can I use this phone without any problem with 4G+ network?

    Thanks OzB!

    • Alas I just tried the AUTUMN16 promo code and got "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase"

  • Solid deal. What bands does this model have?

  • +1

    Thanks OP bought one.

  • Should I get this or the OnePlus3?

    • +2

Different pricepoints. OnePlus3 far better build, camera, performance but no Band28. More price comparable q: this or a Redmi Note 3 Pro? See pros/cons of each at https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/263174#comment-3954791

    • How much is the oneplus3…

    • I don't know why people are downvoting this… I mean do I buy this now, or just save up? Jesus.

  • Got two. Kids apparently dont mind having a phone with plastic build so this should be a great gift for them.

  • Good phone.. major problem is 16 GB non-expandable memory.

    • +2

Takes a microSD up to 128gb…

      • My bad. I thought it's non-expandable like previous models of Moto G.

        • On the G4 plus, you can format abd configure the micro SD to be internal memory too?

        • @albanyson: Isn't this discussion about Moto G4 though? It's not G4 Plus.

        • @virhlpool:
True, but I'm led to believe the only difference is the finger print scanner and higher mp camera.

In the settings, you can format the micro SD card to be internal memory. I found that setting on my G4 (+)

      • +1

Why someone neg here? Isn't this info correct?

        • +4

I think I have a hater on this post, neg voting some of my comments

      • +1

No idea why you got negged for adding something constructive .

  • Has the price changed? I see GBP 129.99. Where can I find shipping charges to different countries? I want to ship one each to India and Singapore.

    • The price has always been GBP 129.99 (except for 15mins or so where it went back up). We don't pay the VAT, so we get it cheaper.

As to shipping charges, just try adding it to your cart and go through the checkout process to get the different quotes.

  • I just ordered the xiaomi Redmi note pro 2/16gb…..would this have been a better deal for roughly the same price?

  • Is there a way to avoid amazon uk use of their exchange service? Get the bill in british pounds rather than dollars.

    • Should automatically checkout in pounds, unless you've set it differently on your payment method

      • Thanks - did anyone clarify the warranty situation either?

        • @Spackbace:
I've been reading threads that Kogan is refunding or replacing on the faulty boot looped LG G4s.
If Kogan keeps up that kind of back up, they'll be trumping every other grey importer…..
(Only this morning sent off my faulty LG G4, where I've been told to expect up to 2 months for repair and return. I've read one other member waited 3 months.

        • @albanyson: So do they offer repair or replacement? Replacement is generally faster but repair can obviously take forever.

        • @virhlpool:
I almost bought the LG G4 through Kogan on a sale, when QD-AU came in slightly cheaper, so I went with them instead.
QD-AU are only sending back to LG for repair. They said to expect at least 2 months before I get it back.
(Ive read Kogan buyers have been offered alternative replacements or a full refund)
I've also read that after supposedly factory repair, it's happened again after wards…… It's only a 12 month warranty.

Having been stung with this one, I would probably look more favourable towards Kogan than any other seller should I be purchasing another grey import.
Having said that, there's a Redmi posted today, that's priced accordingly and I'll probably look atbsoendibg no more than 200 for a chinadroid phone

        • @albanyson: This Moto G4 deal looks good though. What say? And Amazon is a different league all together. We should't compare Kogan with it. It's way above in customer service. Btw, I too have LG G4 which I bought from Kogan for $370 in this deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/239952) and have used it for 6 months or so. Luckily, I haven't faced boot-loop issue yet.. touchwood.

        • @virhlpool:
Paid 460 in Sept last year. Ironically, QD-AU have said they must Receive the phone before the 12 months of purchase date…..
Slow post could mean I don't get warranty.

        • @albanyson: Alrighty. But, how is this deal (Moto G4 at Amazon) in your opinion?

        • @virhlpool:
This is a good price. I paid B&M price cause I needed a phone, that day.
Good comments on warranty through Amazon too.

        • @albanyson: What's B&M, buddy? Are you referring to your LG G4 purchase?

        • @virhlpool:
          Bricks and Mortar.
Bought from Harvey Norman. I bought the Moto G4 on Wednesday

        • @albanyson: For how much, hey?

        • +2

          @virhlpool:
$345(for the plus) and that was heavily bargained for down from $399.
Like I said, in comments further up, in reply to the internal memory question, I am led to believe the only difference between the two is the added finger print scanner and 16mp camera,(on the plus) vs 13mp camera and no finger scanner as this model.

Cheapest local aussie stock price, of the Moto G4 Plus, was online from MobileCiti, free posted from Sydney, still only 12month warranty and free delivery, was $369

$345 pick up there and then….. Or $210 for the 13mp camera/no scanner and a week or 10 days delivery from Amazon UK is much better value

Specs wise..,.they look the same except the 2 mentioned above

    • Thanks for doing the research :)

  • Good deal though my total coming up as 216AUD…
    Anyone else?

    • Same.bought it.

    • +2

$209 is direct conversion, you'd get that with a fee-free card like 28 degrees

  • Is this dual sim having the same spec as the one in this deal?
    129.99 pounds

    • Apart from the extra sim and colour I belive the specs are the same.
The dual sim xt1622 (white) price is now the same as the single sim (black) xt1622.
The G4-plus xt1642 has dual sim 4G/3G, can anyone confirm the same dual sim 4G/3G functionality in the dual sim G4 xt1622?

    • Interestingly, the boxed weight of the dual sim white is 123g heavier

  • Anyone got the phone delivered? My est delivery was Sep 5, but still no show. Please let me know. Thanks

    • Received mine on Thursday after being shipped out the previous Monday.

    • Yep got mine. My est from amazon was Sept 6, UPS tracking showed scheduled delivery for 8th, updates stopped on 5th. 8th came no package, rang UPS, turns out it's been waiting at post office since 6th.

Try put your UPS tracking number into the auspost site and it should give you some details, at least it did for me.

  • Great phone for the price… I also have an iPhone 6 for work so that is what I am comparing it to… Recieved mine is about 6 days
