  • why warranty only 1 year? Australia law states 2 years, correct?

Too expensive for the specs. Selling a laptop at 12% below the RRP is not a clearance.
I bought an Asus Chi T300 with similar specs but faster CPU for about half that price one year ago.

Bought this one 2 mth ago when JB had 15% off + 5% email sign up, ending up $800 around.

  • I prefer the Dell XPS DFO-3651718XL here $999

    http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/product…

    Intel(R) Core(TM) m3 6Y30
    4GB LPDDR3-1600MHz
    128GB Solid State Drive
    31.8cm (12.5") FHD (1920x1080) Touch
    Intel 8260 Dual band 2x2 802.11ac 2.4/5GHz + Bluetooth 4.1

    • Pen not included though.

      • I have one (LTE model), it's my daily driver and it's great! The pen is not very good though; lucky that's not why I brought it.

    • agreed - I'd take the Dell xps12 anyday over this.

    • That is a good deal from dell . But please note that it dell unit you mentioned is a refurbished unit . we are selling a brand new units , these are from cancelled order for a client , we have 20 units in stock .

      • fair point, although I've bought a couple of refurbs from Dell previously and am pretty sure the box hadn't even been opened on one of them.

  • For anyone else who was wondering what FD+ is, it's 2160 x 1440 resolution.
I don't like being made to go look up display resolution on the manufacturers website, immediately makes the seller look shifty to me, just sayin…

  • Not much of a deal.

  • No deal here.

HN has a similar model for $999 differences between the HN unit and this one are:
    - Core m5 6y54 vs m3 6y30
    - Windows 10 vs Windows 10 Pro

I personally think the better CPU offsets the OS.

  • I am typing this on a Lenovo Mix. Hope the newer models are better as I find mine crap. Too slow, too heavy, too unresponsive etc.
