Adonit Jot Touch Pixelpoint Stylus $75 Delivered @ Officeworks

70

Had been looking for a stylus to go with a new iPad Air 2 after playing with the Apple pencil which only works with the iPad Pro. This one seems to be among the best according to the review sites but has been hard to find less than $120. However Officeworks has just announced a clearance of these for $75 with delivery included.

Some good reviews on youtube:

Reviews generally say that while not as good as the Apple Pencil, this is about as close to the Apple pencil as you can get, and is supported on the older iPads.

    • Yeah, I saw those too. At least some of the issues that people have raised are fixed in software updates, and some of the YouTube videos talk to these issues as well (in particularly the wriggly diagonal line that some people were complaining about). Most of the Youtube videos show that the device works quite well, but I'll guess I'll find out first hand soon enough ;)

  • i thought this was only compatible with iPad 3 onwards? unless you meant iPad Air 2?
Also, laggy as hell on older devices. I honestly recommend the one with the discs. Really makes life easier, (on older devices).

Not related but surface has the best pen input ever…

    • Yeah, I meant iPad Air 2 (updated). Hopefully not too laggy on that. I saw some comments that the ones with the discs can make it more likely that you will get something stuck underneath there that can scratch your screen.

      • yeah, it's fine in iPad Air 2 - not noticeable lag (although last time I used it has been a while…)
With the disc ones, it is possible, although I haven't had too much of an issue with that - maybe just make sure there's no dirt or sand? but that's just for reference since you already bought it :P
