Waste of time, wanted an ipad from DSE and now removed. Didn't buy from them before, seems like i still wont be buying from them now.

Also the only iPad from Shopping Square that comes up was at $798 (pro 9.7" Wifi Silver) is now listed at $893.12 inside the last hour. $95.12 difference for the same item now DSE aren't in the game?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-iPad-Pro-32GB-9-7-inches-Wi…

  • Any suggestions for decent headphones or camera equipment (lenses/filters) from this deal will be appreciated. Thanks…

    • just use link search filter. gives me no result…unless you want sony 55mm filter……like wtf…

  • anything that is popular gonna have price raised……..TV, phone/tablet…..

  • Luckily found one and the very only one item on sale in Toys R Us Ebay store, which is a card game marking as $14.99.

  • How did you get Shopping Square as the included store? I can't find their name in the list of stores under T & C's. Can anyone please point me to the right direction?

    Thanks.

    • It's listed in the t&c's as Apus Express, which is their clearance store. The code also works at Apus Auction and Shopping Square eBay stores however, use this link in the OP, it includes all 3 shopping square stores not just the 1 that the eBay search does.

  • I bought a couple of boring things in my watch list that weren't jacked up. Nice little $40 saving.

  • Good time to jump on hd 1080p CCTV for home or nay ?

  • Is there a coupon code limit?

    • +1

      Minimum spend? No.

      Usage limit? 3 times/transactions

      • Cheers

  • 'Sales' like this should be banned. Honestly, screw these retailers.

  • Anyone with prior experience buying a TV from Graysonline? There are some "reconditioned" units on sale.

  • Any cheap 1060gtx? My psu can't take a 1070

  • Picked up an Acer XB271HU from Futu. Prices weren't jacked up from yesterday but still $80 higher than the cheapest local option. Nice saving of $150 compared to the local price still, plus cash rewards.

  • Any iPhone 6S in the deal?

    • No iPhones at all available from any sellers.

    • +1

Wait 72 hours and the retail/resale price of an iPhone 6S will drop significantly due to Apple's September 7th iPhone Event

  • +1

Can't get through checkout with Supercheap Auto. After adding my items, applying coupon and clicking on the Confirm and Pay button. I get this even though there is stock:
We noticed a problem. Please review: your items. "The seller doesn't have that many left."

    • +1

Exact something happened to me! Pretty much all the stores near me are in stock so don't know why that shows up.
I tried to purchase separately, and was able to buy 2 out of the 5 items in my cart.

    • Same here. I have cut my cart down to 2 items and still get the message. Not sure I will bother now.

    • Got a useless reply from them:

We have forwarded your feedback onto our technical team for review.
If the issue is till present I would suggest to attempt an order on our website.

It looks like I can purchase an item if it's shipped, but it won't accept Click & Collect. The shipping cost is not worth buying anything from them.

  • Anyone found a GoPro deal?

    • +2

Nothing good around, a few GoPro listings but they are all very expensive.

      • Thanks!

  • There aren't any good <$1000 (after coupon) laptop deals with 15.6" 1980x1080 with dedicated graphics.

    • +2

Best deals for those sort of laptops are found on the Dell Outlet store. Just check it every day around lunchtime and something good will pop up.

      • oh thanks for the tip.
What about other manufacturers and such? or are they just not worth looking at

        • I've stuck with Dell. Good quality, excellent warranty service in AUS, and great prices through the outlet. No other brands have anything similar with Aus warranty that I know of.

  • +2

Is this THE WORST e-bay sale of all time? Looks like most of the stores were prepared this time and have either jacked up the prices or put items under exclusions.

  • +11

FutuOnline prices are jacked up so much, they are only beating MSY by about $5 to $10 after 20% discount. Shady as hell

    • After finding out futuonline was jacking up prices, I have avoided them.

    • From the items i've been interested in so far (monitors and graphics cards), the prices have actually stayed the same at Futu.. :/

  • +7

stores that jack prices I add to my black book and I boycott in future

    • I do the same.

    • +2

That book must be pretty thick lol

    • Yes, until they have a real bargain that you want

  • +5

    http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/toysrus_australia

Toys r us can be deleted IMO, they have only one item

    Happy to be Corrected….

  • Looking for a computer case. Prices jacked up beyond anything reasonable :\

  • +14

    Jacking up prices by 20%
These eBay deals stopped being BARGAINS.
    THESE ARE SCAMS!

    • There are plenty of bargains, how are these 'scams'. Some retailers jack up prices, but not all. Most will only jack up prices by 5-15%.

      • +3

Only the galaxy S7 was a bargain the rest are pretty average - hardly reflective of the 500+ votes on here

        • +3

          @TheClipIt:
I think that if any advertised 'bargain' deserves a neg, this one does. Having a few bargains amongst so many 'scams' certainly demands negative attention.

Perhaps as a compromise, each individual bargain (considering how few there are) should be given their own attention/thread. As a whole, this all smells like dung.

        • @sasquire:

          how few

          21 posted so far

        • +1

@sasquire: salt hasn't had its price jacked up

          @TheClipIt:
What's the percentage of true bargains to false ones?

Feel free for everyone to upvote if they can dig that deal up. But I'd like to feel free to neg the overall deal so the average visitor can be made aware of what's going on. Spreading a little awareness won't hurt anyone. Rather, quite the opposite.

    • Cool! Reckon it would be a good bedside alarm clock? I dont really get how the temp sensor is connected

      • -2

where is the data coming from? :S

  • +1

I don't get why the mighty ape ebay charges $7.99 for shipping and $2 for each additional item when their website does $4.99 flat shipping. IMO this kills the deal.

  • +6

LOL talk about sheep. People upvoting for no rational reason other than … yey it's 20% off!! There may be a few genuine bargains but most of it is not.

    • It's hopeful thinking, the same reason people buy lotto.

      • bad analogy lol

    • -1

      yeh hardly any deals

  • +2

Really disgusting the way the retailers jack up the prices. They don't deserve any business with tactics like that.

  • +7

can ozbargainers stop being so stupid to buy into these deals? It's kinda degrading..

  • +1

Can someone advise who pays the 20% discount? And is there any info to back it up? Thanks

    • +10

      You pay the 20% discount.

    • +1

Ebay pays the 20%, you'll see it on the paypal order details.

      • Cheers

  • +2

I just got the following reply from Toys r us.. I had just replied asking will they be able to pricematch with ebay coupon.!!

    Hello,

We’re currently experiencing some difficulties with our eBay listings.
You should still be able to purchase the items from our website directly www.toysrus.com.au

    Customer Service

  • +2

Retailers that jack up their prices should be barred from being posted on Ozbargain in the future. See how they like a loss of customers that way. If they do shady things Ozbargain should not promote them. Retailers need a stick and a carrot, not just a carrot.

I believe they are good price and they are similar in price too but I don't know what to choose, any advise?

    • I just bought the MSI 1070 X from FUTU @607 after the 20% off. Been reading review and was choosing btw asus but went for MSI cuz it seems like they have better software. Otherwise they are both great

          Cannot Vote on This Deal
You have already voted on this deal. Your vote was subsequently revoked.

i think oz bargain has run its course too… im not sure what it is anymore these days, but its not a place for bargains, just crappy advertising

        • @T1OOO: How is this just advertising?!? There are heaps of bargains

        • @TheClipIt:

simple, its basically some crappy agreement targetd at people where they increase their prices by 20% to cover the sale,..

i wonder what cut OZB is getting, the frequencey has been way too much and i think its just targeted to this site the sales.

        • @T1OOO: Only a few stores increase prices. And the increase is only by 5-15% normally (except Dick Kogan).

        • @TheClipIt:

the fact an do it, and repeatadley without any refecutions at all, is enough for me to boy cott these sales, and ozb should be too. black list them and ebay.

        • @T1OOO:

the fact an do it, and repeatadley without any refecutions at all, is enough for me to boy cott these sales, and ozb should be too. black list them and ebay.

I'll refecute you if you're not careful!

      85 Selected Retailers

So because 1 retailer is jacking up prices does that mean that this deal deserves a neg? There are another 84 stores…

      • do you get tired of sticking up for ebay all day ?

        • +7

do you get tired of sticking up for ebay all day ?

Really? Is this now going personal? TheCliplt has no control on what the stores do with their prices and the negativity projected towards the OP is ridiculous. He is simply trying his best to bring us these deals well before they are even officially published on eBay. Move on if you think this deal is not worth it, cause 550+ members clearly know that 1-2 stores don't ruin the deal for the remaining 84.

        • -6

@stuhtb: was just curious, i seen everyone who made a complaint he took the time to defend ebay, simply wondering if he was tired.

        • +1

Not all of Futu is price jacked up to the point where the net price is the same as retail price. Some of it after discount still offer significant discount to customers over existing retail price. Eg. This one

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MSI-nVidia-GeForce-GTX-1070-Gamin…

Cheapest price on StaticIce is $653, MSY selling for $695, Futu Selling for $715. After 20% discount on Futu Price you can get it for $572. This is still a good significant saving. At the end of the day, it is buyers beware. If the buyers do their research, they should be able to identify and avoid jacked up price and still pick up reasonable bargains when a sale is on. The onus is on the buyer to do that research.

      • -1

i've noticed its more then one retailer + everything i've had an eye on has either been jacked, or is out of stock.. what is the point. its a scam.
