Thanks for the heads up on the Amex deal! Don't need a video card, but do need a mech keyboard.

For those without an AMEX Card, PCCG is at $159 which isn't a bad deal compared to the competition.

But mwave has pickup as well. PCCG delivery is like $20?

pccg has pickup if you're in Melbourne

oo never knew that. i've always been interested in pccg stuff since a lot of the things i look at seem to be relatively cheaper, but shipping to sydney kills it for me 99% of the time :(

        • @crackermo:

In Sydney your best bests are Mwave, Umart, ARC and MSY (all have stores where you can pick up in Sydney)

        • @blighst:

You're fortunate if you have any decent PC stores any where nearby. I have to get every thing delivered since there's no decent PC stores any where within a few hundred kms. I buy a lot of my gear now on delivery from Amazon or Newegg and it only takes about 1.5 weeks to arrive.

    • PCCG is XFX rather than Sapphire from memory?

  • Oh, bought the Rx 460 4G version from Mwave last week. @$219. The 2G version is only $169. Too much difference.

    • What made you choose the 460 over the 470 which is like $60 more from Amazon?

      • +1

        My power supply is 350w, so….. I like 470, but…..

        • Fair enough. Didn't even know 350w can support a current day GPU :)

        • @crackermo: only this rx460, 350w is enough. I used to order the Asus Rx470 from Amazon. Finally I canceled that. Because my friend play 470 with 350w psu, he got several times black screen during play games. Haha.

Probably, Gtx1060 single fan or mini can be alive with 350w psu

  • Hmmm … 2GB :(

Why's that a problem? What game are you expecting to be unplayable on this but playable on a 4GB version of this? This card isn't really fast enough for you to be worrying about that kind of thing. A 2GB R9 380 regularly pulls 50% more frames than the 4GB RX 460 in the same tests, 2GB VRAM is not the bottleneck here.

      • You are right, I feel sad to buy the 4G version @219

  • I set my max budget at $150 when I was building my office upgrade so this is a fantastic option !!

    Great value imho

  • Is this better than a AMD 5870 HD?

  • Don't forget this deal for the 4G model for $169 also. Nowadays you're better off going for a 4G card.

    • sales end yesterday
      it is $249 now

      • Damn. I didn't realise as their PDF still says $169. Maybe in store they'll honour that.

    • I actually picked this up for $129 prior to that deal, but at a stretch may have chosen it instead (although $169 was over my self imposed $150 budget)
