1080p fmd. no point in getting a 31.5" if its just 1080p max

      • Disagree - I'm using a 31.5" 1920x1080 monitor right now. There is definitely a point if someone is aiming for 1080p and bigger is better. You get used to everything being big in windows soon enough ;)

Pixels are visible at normal viewing distances though.

        • How far away from the monitor are you sitting? I'm considering this monitor because of how far away i'm sitting away from my monitor atm (about 60-80cm).

Lol, response time: 1ms in title, 5ms in Item Specifics, 4ms in HTML description…

    • yeah need to edit that.

    • Google A03 before purchasing from them.. You'd have to be insane

FHD would look horrible on a 31.5"…

    • agree. even on a 27" it looks pretty bad

      • What refresh rate are you looking at FHD on 27"? I have a 27" @ 120Hz and it is fine…

        • it's not about refresh, it's about pixel density. after using a high dpi monitor (1440p on my 14" laptop) - 1080p on a 24" looks pretty average. let alone the same amount of pixels spread over 27"

        • @ideasman: Meh, have a 75" 1080p and that looks great. Guess it is what you are used to (and how close you sit to it). I asked about refresh as if you are playing games, it can make a big difference as to how smooth the experience is.

  • I use my 60 inch LCD TV as a gaming display. Can't say 1080 looks horrible on it. But I've never tried/seen whats 4k gaming like on a screen that big.

true - but wouldn't your seating position be a little different in front of your tv vs in front of a pc monitor?

      • true. Well anyway if I ever buy a monitor it would be something 21:9 1440p.

  • Assuming one was sitting further back on a couch, would this monitor be alright for gaming/tv/movies?

    • Not sure if you'd want to use a curved display from a distance due to viewing angles etc

    • It would be great.

True if too far away the curve might look weird but the VA panel should have great viewing angles and black levels.

  • At this size id do Minimum 1440p or 4k

    • Depending on GPU, 1440p is the sweet spot at the moment. Even a 1080 would struggle at 4k

      • Yeah, you would need the 1080 in SLI just to do 4K comfortably. TBH the best is 3440x1440p ultrawide gaming. FOV is very immersive and pixel density is more than adequate. Plus you can get 100Hz+ rather than being capped at 60Hz+ at 4K because the hardware demands are too much.

  • Man If I had the funds I'd pick this up in a heartbeat. It's exactly what I've been waiting for to combine with a small Freesync capable PC to run as a steambox/mythTV/HTPC to replace a regular TV (/PVR/NAS/Gaming console).

This panel is a brand new curved VA high refresh baby. Thank the lord for the variable refresh rate era. 24 FPS media running on a 48 FPS screen anyone?? :D

  • 32 inch monitor and only 1080p? That's a joke

  • Any good deals on a 27"?
