  • Just be aware with a lot of their places if you leave before 3 they don't count it as early bird…been bitten by them before when working a 5am-1pm shift…no idea why they care when I leave but for some reason they seem to. But these are some good prices for Brisbane parking if you can fit within their rules

    • They care because otherwise casual parkers would just use these codes.

People parking for a few hours at meeting etc. is where they make their real money.

      • huh? It's an early bird offer so you need to be in by 9:30 (9 at some places) and you pay that amount if you leave at 3pm, 4pm, 7pm etc ….why wouldnt they want that space turned over by 11am and still get the same amount of money as someone who leaves their car there until 9pm that night with the added bonus of having another free space they could charge a new customer for….

It seems to only effect Secure in the CBD, I guess they could in some weird universe have been hit with thousands of people filling their carparks for only 3 hours? But that doesnt seem to effect the other places

This particular promo code aside, the inner city car parks are usually $20-$30 for early bird which is only 2-3hours at casual rates anyway so no reason early bird cant be in by 9:30 out after 11:30 for example if they really wanted to make sure no casual parker accidentally saved a couple of $$…I just dont understand the 3pm, anyway its an enigma

For a while they were double parking cars and asking people to leave their keys at the wintergarden carpark and they tried to stack the cars so people leaving from 3 would be in front etc But I dont think many of them do that now

        • They know what their doing.

Forcing people with meetings, doctors appointments etc. to pay casual rates (way more than $8) would generate them far more than having a few empty car spaces with 'early bird' leaving early.

I don't like it, but it certainly makes sense to me.
