Panamax 100 Tablets have been $0.99 for a while now….. Not really a deal with its the standard pricing. Its cheap as CHIPS but still no deal.

    • Its cheap as CHIPS

I can't recall that the last time one can buy 100 tablets of potatoes chips for $0.99 ;P

      • Buy any package of chips under $1, then smash the bag before opening…. BAM! 100+ chips for under $1 ;)

Panamax 100 Tablets have been $0.99 for a while now

      since 7th September

Not really a deal with its the standard pricing

      was $1.99 on 22nd August

Proberly it is not a deal. But for people who are not realise the price is cheap, it is useful information.

  • Aren't these always 99c each?.

  • +1

Watch out, I have a few hundred of these and they are SO chalky they are very difficult to keep down. Imo pay the extra and get the capsules.

    • +1

They also have an expiry date listed on the packet. So if you buy a few hundred then be mindful of this.

    • I use them and don't have issue, but I also split them in half - might be helpful?

  • +6

Pretty sure standard price is $1.99, so I think this is a deal :)

    • Yep, usually anywhere from $1.99-2.99 in our neck of the woods.

  • does paracetamol actually work?

    • +7

If you swallow the whole pack of 100 i guarantee you something will happen.

      • +1

        Any deals on n-acetylcysteine???

      • +1

(for those wondering it's a very slow and very painful death)

    • +1

yes it does, i mean really, its probably one of the best ones out there that people think is useless because they can buy it over the counter.

      • i recall listening to a medical podcast saying scientists aren't quite sure how it works (if at all) and it is not effective for many types of pains

        • +1

It absolutely works, the best we have, especially for things like headaches, musculoskeletal pain and post op pain. Won't do anything for nerve pain but then again nothing will.

        • +1

@Darce Vader: It's one of the first medications prescribed for patients in hospitals for a reason.

It also decreases the need for opioids by 30%.

          Pretty impressive.

  • Im an addict because of cheap panadol

  • this is the best paracetamol on the market if you ask me. Works for me within 10 minutes. Regular brands like panadol and nurofen do nothing for me.

    time to stock up!!

    • +1

Nurofen is not paracetamol my friend

    • depends on what is the cause of your pain. ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug

    • I actually find ibuprofen far superior to paracetemol.

Paracetamol does nothing for me whereas Advil/Nurofen will

these pills are massive and you can feel them slide down your pipes

    • just like the club Saturday night…

    • pipes

      How many have you got?

      • i am not well versed in anatomy but maybe the name of the pipe changes along the way?

        • You're aware these are not suppositories, right?

        • @StewBalls:
          yeah

@thelastnoob: Good to hear, I've always gotta check, the five R's & all that:

          the right patient
          the right drug
          the right dose
          the right route
          the right time

          :)

Anyone know of a way around the limit of 1…?

(Usually buy a lot of Panamax to give to villages when we go to SE Asia, and plan to do the same this year. Took around 50 boxes last time, but have a lot more baggage allowance this time around)

    • I've heard cloning yourself works well. Or metamorphosis.

    • +1

      shop in-store? :)

  • +1

Cheap but use them strictly as directed. Liver toxicity caused by excess use of this drug is endemic.

    • +1

Definitely, often comes with acute renal failure too…good times! :/

It really should be better known by the general public.
