Well everyone, it's finally here. Today we've launched Refer-a-Mate. Simply click the link and request mates to sign up. Once your mates sign up, they will each get $5 instantly approved in their new accounts. As the referrer, you will also instantly get a $5 pending amount paid into your account once the mate signs up. What's the catch? The mate must spend at least $20 within 3 months of joining for your $5 to move from pending to approved. The mate must have at least $10.01 in their new accounts before they can withdraw their funds. Happy shopping, and thanks for the support :)

So in summary…

  • Mate receives $5 (approved) upon signing up
  • Referrer receives $5 (pending) upon mate signing up
  • Referrer's $5 moves to approved once mate spends $20 (spend must be within 3 months) and transaction is approved
  • Bonuses are exempt from redemption until mate has accumulated $5.01 (mate must have at least $10.01 to withdraw)

      Depends on the store and your luck. Most of my transactions tracked and were ultimately paid (within 3 months on average).

      However, CR also doles out its share of frustration. My Wotif purchases from this March have yet to become available. Some of my Ebay purchases were inexplicably rejected despite never being returned and purchased wholly under my name. As another poster mentioned, you have to contact CR up diligently to chase the rewards and this has been the case for me indeed.

      On the upside, the CS team has been great to deal with. There is always a bit of waiting as they query stores.

        The support team are great. But i have never had any money go into my available balance without first contacting them. I've just checked now and I've still got a $30 credit from Woolworths sitting there from February.

        I had an issue with wotif transactions taking forever - after the supposed date they were supposed to be done. Emailed the support team, and they got it fixed for me in a couple of days.

        yes, it's within our accounts, but for a referee it's definitely from the database of the referrers :)

      Please read point 11 in the T&Cs of the Amaysim deal…

      Cannot stack with Cashrewards Refer-a-Friend. Doing so will invalidate cashback & referral bonus.
