The Hisense M7000 TVs are great value tvs if you are looking for a 70/75 inch 4k tv in the current market. I believe these to be the cheapest prices offered so far.

Don't be put off by the brand. These TV's apparently offer great picture quality. 3 year warranty. Do your own research. HDR via Firmware update (not out of the box).

excellent only 950km to my nearest store

  • I wish the 65" was listed

  • This 70" is very intriguing. Struggling to find much feedback online though?

I am in the market for a TV and the 70" M7000 is the current one on the top of my list. From everything i have read there are a lot of happy people with the M7000 range. Its no OLED but for a LED LCD you don't get much better than this. And for the price nothing comes close. Its a no brainer in my opinion. If only Binglee was in my state. I have heard good things about warranty/support as well.

      • Thanks mate. I'll pop into my local JB and Bing Lee tomorrow for a look. I do not need a new TV, my Samsung 58" FHD Plasma still works and being plasma picture quality quite good…. but, it's 5yr extended warranty is about to run out (i had the panel replaced twice due to purple haze, it's only a matter of time…).

      • me too but I've got a whole bunch of JB-HIFI gift cards I'd like to use so waiting for the right price to pull the trigger. Hoping to see something in the low $2k possibly around xmas. The only thing I don't like about it is the absence of ABC iview on the TV Chromecast may be the way to go.

It comes with freeview plus, why would it not have iview? What is your source of this information? I'm interested as i would use iview direct from the TV.

        • I just google and you're right. Freeview has all that. Great! another reason to get this TV

          Catchup services
ABC iView, SBS On Demand, PLUS7, Jump-in, Tenplay

  • So TV prices follow an exponential distribution according screen size?

    • Yep, they sure do. Up to about 60" and even 65" they are fairly reasonable but going beyond that the price goes up quite a bit. I picked up a 75" Samsung FHD tv a few years ago for $3k which was on a half price sale at JB (RRP >$6k). Waiting for a similar sale on Samsung 75" UHD to replace it.

      • I think up to 55" they are somewhat reasonable, anything over that and they shoot up in price.

Yep I went to HN today and almost pulled the trigger on the 75. But the ozbargainer in me put this together

size " price after code per inch $
          50 1295 1036 20.72
          55 1500 1200 21.81818182
          65 2495 1996 30.70769231
          70 2998 2398.4 34.26285714
          75 3799 3039.2 40.52266667

You can see the sweet spot in terms of size/cost per inch is the 55 (or at a stretch the 65).

I still may buy the 75 because 3k for a tv of that size is outstanding!

  • Wish the 75" was the Sony brand.

    • $3920 for the KD75X8500D is a pretty good price right?

      • No, 2.5K to 3K max.

        • But its never been available for that sort of price previously has it? I think its unlikely it will get there in the next 6 months. Even at 50% off in the Christmas sale its out of that range. Grab the 75 inch Hisense for just under 3k now with cashrewards factored in and let me know what you think :) haha.

        • Still 3 months to Xmas. Anything is possible when retailers are desperate to cash in.

Sony had 65% damaged carton sales before.

Woah 75" for 3k? That escalated magnificently.

  • These Tvs are far better than the deals you get for Sony, LG, and Samsung on this forum. I'm hoping you will be able to get it for around $1000 for the 55" one by Christmas.

I found this hands-on really helpful. A few little things about the tv changed my mind about getting one. Still seems like a great TV though.

    • Yeah i had not read that article yet. Good info, nice to read some actual user experiences. Did you end up getting a different TV and if so what one?

      • I'm not in a rush to buy a new TV, just seemed like a good deal given the price. I'm going to wait for next year's models which will probably have better brightness/HDR given how competitive this company seems to be.

    • Thanks for sharing the link. Seems quite annoying having to change picture settings for different formats. Perhaps that point is overblown in the article, but it's given me food for thought. Perhaps should stick it out with FHD Plasma a bit longer.

  • Just got back from checking out the m7000 range in JB HiFi…. was quite impressed. I would have no hesitation buying it for this price. Sensibility is holding me back from splurging when my FHD Plasma is still working though.

  • So who bought the 70 or 75" Hisense M7000 TV - and what is your feedback ?
