Thanks KFC, my dream of a third chin may become a reality!

      Save one for Leafy man!

Thanks to KFC I have more chins than a Chinese phone book!

      • -2

Given it's not a Chinese surname, I'm sure you would.

        • Actually, it is. It's the way migrants anglicised the Qin(秦) and Qian(錢) surnames. Chin is a common surname in Korean, but that also has Chinese origins, as before the spread of bhuddism, nearly all Koreans were illiterate peasants for thousands of years (like nearly every country on earth) and had no formal script or written language. Only royalty and the elite were afforded education and literacy. They adopted the Korean language with Chinese characters called Hanja.

You'd be fun at a stand up comedy show!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • -1

@Crowdedthehouse: So Qin and Qian are Chinese surnames and Chin is a common surname for Koreans.

So my previous comment was, Chin is not a Chinese Surname is still a valid point?

        • Same thing

        • @Crowdedthehouse: Then what happened?

do they take this deal off and on all the time to get free advertising on OzB

      • Haha hey, living in Brisbane is worth it!

        • +1

However none of the qld store support KFC express, like the $26 deal in nsw is good. 10 org 10 wicked 3 lg side
In qld u never get deal near this.

        • @edw0000000:

That is a great deal! But I still wouldn't leave Brisbane for Sydney for that =p

        • +1

          @edw0000000:

KFC Xpress will be coming to qld soon! I think they plan to have 100% live stores by augsut next year?

      • +1

Actually, these days Queensland is full of people from everywhere but Queensland. On the Goldie at least .. :-) .. !!

        • +1

@cornucopia haha so true, I was in Gold Coast a few weeks ago. Wow what a beautiful place and nice houses, but everything else makes it feel like a dive. It's a mixture of spray tanned bimbos with their tatted up bogan boyfriends, tonnes of kids partying up for a weekend, tonnes of Asian tourists, mixed in with soooo many backpackers. I was probably just in the bad touristy parts of the place though. TBH I spent most of my time indoors. At Hollywood Showgirls.

    • +2

WA has it all the time also and we have better weather :P

      • Is it select shops in WA? My local didnt have it last time i checked.

        • AFA meant hot and spicy I think, and not the deal.

    • +1

Same with Sizzler.. Is that why when I travel to QLD so many people looking particularly disgusting? ;-)

    • Tasmania controlled by a different franchise?

      • +1

No, but because it's reallly separate from the rest of Australia, they normally do state wide tests. Like when the rest of Australia had the ZInger BLack, they had Zinger Fish.

  • +1

It was always on in qld !

    • +3

You mean….just as the OP says in the description?

      • +5

We know that but we just like to rub it in everyone's face lol

  • +4

    This is fowl.

  • -1

These are extra small size 9 chicken pieces.

    • You are right. When I get them on the special 9 for $9.95, the chicken pieces are smaller than non special deals.
I wonder how they can get away from doing it.

      • You end up paying more money for less chicken meat.

      • -1

They know that most of the people who buy this crud can't see straight anyway… Pot will do that.

    • -2

      I hope not.

If I get a small piece (for example a wing), I would ask them to swap for a bigger piece.

until recently, I have been too polite and too shy to ask.
      but OZbargain changed that.
it changed me for the better.

      • +1

Alternatively, it is nice to have some shame in this life.

      • Not sure why you got negged for your comment. Upvote for embracing ozbargain spirit!

    • I dont know what you are talking about, its the exact same chicken used?

  • +1

I've been waiting for this deal to become an everyday menu item……at this price.

    18 pieces coming straight up.

    • oh dear…. Dream on sweetie 😉😝

Last time I got this deal I didn't need to go to the toilet for 3 days!

    • Time is money! probably paid for the meal by saving all that time

  • We have a shopadocket here (2315 NSW) for 9 pieces of chicken, large chips, large potato and gravy plus 4 rolls for $17.95.

9 pieces for $9.95 is better, but its a handy shopadocket when the 9 pieces alone deals are not on.

    • +1

The Streetwise Feast deal isn't terrible either really, 6 pieces of chicken, 6 nuggets, 3 tenders, 2 large chips for $19.95. And it's part of the normal menu so no need for a shopadocket even.

  • Thanks I missed out last time due to other concurrent deals such as dominos etc.

  • +1

    Yesssssa

  • Finger licking good.

  • The only thing better than 9 piece of KFC is 10 piece of KFC

  • Is hot and spicy available in Vic?

    • only in richmond

    • Victoria gardens

  • Kingsleys in ACT will match this. Glad my housemate likes it as much as I do so i don't get a whole 9 pieces to myself.

    • +1

I reckon that Kingsley's is slightly more generous with the chicken meat too, and a bit less greasy than DB.

      • Agreed, ever since moving to the ACT I've enjoyed Kingsleys more than KFC.

  • +1

Is this available in WA? Booragoon has the "take home dinner pack" = 9 pieces, large chips, and large potato and gravy for $15 (all the time)

    • I did not know that Booragoon has this "Take Home Dinner Pack".
That is a good price of $15 for all that.
May go to Booragoon more often after work.

    • Is it only available close to closing time?

    • is this in the Garbo food court?

  • +1

    cutting season? what's cutting season??

  • Can you still ask for only breast or thigh pieces?

    • no , set pieces now

    • +1

You can ask, but dont feel sad when the employee tell's you you cant. Litterally every single menu panel now has to have along the bottom "Set cominations apply" because of people who want 9pc Breast.

      • +2

9 pieces of chicken will get you

        • 2 thighs
        • 2 drumsticks
        • 2 wings
        • 2 ribs
        • 1 breast
    • +2

I always ask for less breast and more thigh. Oh wait, you mean chicken pieces?

Does this mean the KFC sliders are ending?

    • Unfortunately yeah. Same as Cola WW. There is a new Promo Twister coming which sounds nice

      • +1

That's bullshit, the sliders are one of the best things KFC ever had.

Why even make things if they're just going to stop selling them in three weeks? It's like okay, you guys win, I like them… but now I can't buy them?

        • Yep, KFC promo's last precisely 4 weeks, same as any maccas promo.

        • @oscinator1988: Any idea what's on after 9 pieces finishes?

        • @MrMcHairyHead: Yeah I know what on, if you want to know PM me.

  • KFC usually only have one promotion at a time, does this mean Flatbread Sliders are gone?

R.I.P. Flatbread Sliders, 2016 - 2016. I'll miss you as much as the tacos from last year.

  • Off to KFC now!

  • Remember to get the receipts for surveys. The haymarket branch staff always neglect to give me.

  • "KFC new phillips!!"

  • will this get my cholesterol high?

  • when can we get hot n spicy permanent in NSW? pretty please?

    • +1

George St CBD store used to have Hot n Spicy permanently and open til 4am or 5am. Used to go there after a big night. Nnot sure about now. Can anyone confirm?
