Mani Rimdu festival is the most important festival in Tengboche monastery of Everest region. Monks perform mystic mask dances commemorating the betrayal of evil and establishment of Buddhism in Tibet some 1,200 years back. Dances also convey important Buddhist teachings. The three day long festival ends with blessings from learned monks.
