I have this, downside for this if you don't turn on the NC, the sound quality isn't that great. NC itself isn't the best but for $50 its good enough.

Paid fifty something for them a few months back during the Goodguys deal and they are definately worth it. Used this on a flight and the noise cancelling actually works pretty well. Battery life is great too. Downside for me is the wind noise that comes throught the mic if your walking through wind. Apart from that, highly recommend them.

    • THANK YOU!
I was looking for a present for the parents.
They're from the age when "Sony is the best!"

They wanted a set of headphones for an upcoming flight.
There were the EXACT ones I was looking at.

Great to have a review, and from a flight at that!

      • Good choice, it blocks out the engine background noise well. Just remind them to take the included headphone adapter to plug it in the chair on the plane, and they need to switch the noise cancelling button to "on", because it defaults to "off".

        • INCLUDED adaptor?

OK, they need to give you a job, you just made 2 sales :P

        • @MasterScythe: haha I should ay. Yep the adapter plugs straight into the headphone jack, and then they can listen to the inflight entertainment unit, intead of using those cheap headphones that they provide.

        • @Mahogany Granger:
Oh, I'm well aware how they work. I'm fairly well traveled.

I'm just not used to them being included! nice!

  • Thanks OP. Bought 3. Should be useful and worth giving a go at the price. Overseas trip coming up in December with wife and 2 young kids.
