    $106 less than RRP.. lol.

Ozbargainers know the value of RRP = nothing. A tiny discount vs RRP is therefore also worth nothing.

    Try harder.

  • What is so special with this laptop that this warrants double the price of Lenovo Thinkpads that are on bargain nowadays

I use one of these as my work laptop.

It's not a bad machine, but it's not worth $2k. The build is very average, it's not compact, it's not overly light. It's run of the mill.

      • Exactly , that is why I'm wondering why is over priced , are they trying the "Apple Premium" pricing thinking if the cost is high then people will perceive it to be of a higher end product … <SMH>

      • Isn't this about 1.2kg? I thought it was very thin & light (although I agree this seems very overpriced).

        • It's not a heavy machine comparably but it's not an ultrabook, that's for sure.

        • @toristo:
I would be interested to hear about any 13.3" ultrabooks you know about that are lighter than 1.2kg

  • Ouch.
Are other laptops currently 20% off via Ebay?

  • I think they just wanted to get their web stat up!

    • stat or tat?

For lower than that price you can easily get many top of the line gaming laptop with quad core i7 and something like gtx 970m or over. I have the alienware 15 and the battery easily last for 4-6 hour for light work and browsing and word processing. The alienware 13 is very thin and portable but only dualcore.

    Fail deal.

  • im in the market for a laptop but now way im paying for this if its only got 8gb ram and a 256gb hhd… sry, id rather a xps 13 for that kind of money with my specs.

honestly you can get a mac book pro for that price and specs.

Rubbish - Get a DELL XPS13 for $50 less even when upgraded to Win 10 Pro.

    This is NOT a deal.

    • Speaking of which, why would anyone upgrade to Win 10 Pro - it doesnt offer much value for most users

  • Z30s are good laptops especially if you still want a ethernet network port.

    I can get the
    TOSHIBA PT261A-01P00E Z30, i7-6600, 13.3" FHD, 8GB, 256GB SSD, WL-ACN, NO-ODD, 4G, W7P + W10P DISK, 3YR
+ BONUS 2TB PORTABLE HDD (BLUE) for $2,280.

    • Or you could have a Laptop that has new technology like Thunderbolt and have 40Gbps bi-directional?

      Oh and USB3.1

oh wait no - i'll take the Tosh with outdated tech and a higher price tag which is heavier - i think as the website merely says "< 1.5KG"

Ok i'm being harsh about the Toshiba - but it's not an OzBargain level kinda deal. It's a I walked in to Hardly Normal and they gave me a 'deal' type of deal - if you know what I mean

      • Either way these Toshiba Z30s are reliable for business use.

  • especially if you still want a ethernet network port.

Are we courageously removing ethernet ports now?

    • What are you trying to say?

Who upvoted this deal? Rubbish value unless you're a diehard Toshiba fan and still theyre not great

      the store rep's friend?
Technically it is a saving right???.. :-/

  • Pretty sure Toshiba pulled out of the aus market. Just trying to flog old stock at bad pricing

    • No, they pulled out of the large retail market (eg Officeworks, Harvey Norman) & now only supply via computer resellers.
