    The 850 can be had for $180. As an alternative from pcbyte.

    • Agreed - The 850 FAR better product for a tiny amount more.

    • I'm only seeing the 2TB in stock right now

    • Sold out now and price went up to $191.20 (after discount) :(

      Who cares what vendor it is. It's covered by Ebay Money Back Guarantee AND Paypal Buyer Protection (if you pay that way).

      • I'm guessing Diji is worried about the warranty

        • +1

          I'm guessing Diji1 is just a random pcbyte hater.

          Anyway, who cares about warranty? It's warranted by SAMSUNG irrespective of who you purchase from. Samsung manufactured it.

          C. If you purchased this product in Australia and wish to make a claim under this Warranty, you should:
          • contact 1300 362 603;
          • visit the nearest Samsung Customer Service Plaza; or
          • visit www.samsung.com/au.

          Furthermore, if warranty is a concern then definitely buy the 850 EVO (5 years warranty) instead of the 750 (only 3 years)

          @llama:
          I had one of my 840 pros die. Simply got on to Samsung chat and had a new one in a week.

          Dealing with the manufacturer saves a lot of time and the process with these Samsung drives is straight forward.

          @bbourizk:

          Of course. That is precisely what a "manufacturer's warranty" is.

          Sometimes (not always) they will have an international warranty policy too, so you are covered for grey imports.

          Yeah…. so what?

  • Wow. How the SSD prices have fallen!

    • +2

      They have fallen because they use denser but lower endurance cells - we've gone from SLC to MLC to TLC to … They say you won't care because they reserve some of those cells for failure, hence distinction of Gibibyte and Gigabyte in specifications.
