The noob question as always, does this charge mobiles with type-c? or is it only charging the power bank with Type c? or both?

    • +1

Looks like qc in and out to me. (Someome correct me if I'm wrong!)

      • +1

I have this, yes you can charge the battery at QC2.0 speeds if you have a QC2.0 compatible charger using the Type-C input port.

    • +2

You can charge the phone with Type-C as well as charging the Power Bank with a Type-C cable. So both :)

      • +2

I know you can charge with Type C but is it QC3 input as well? or does it charge slow

        • +1

From memory it took about 3.5 hours to full charge using the Macbook USB-C charger.

    • +6

I have this power bank and it does not charge through the usb c port (does charge your devices using usb c to usb c). You can charge usb c devices using the usb a port (usb a to usb c cable)
The usb c port of this power bank can only be used to charge it. (charger -> usb a - usb c -> power bank)

Some other reports of this as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nexus6P/comments/4uhpnc/xiaomi_powe…

      • +2

Yep correct, should've phrased my comment better. Cheers :)

  • +5

I knew you'd deliver! Now take my money :)

    • Thanks for waiting Blorgglorg!

  • +1

How do I get the optional extras?

Have tried searching and adding it to the cart but doesn't apply any discount…

    • +1

Hey Deeps, the discounted cable price will be added when you buy the power bank and the cable together using the optional extras dropdown :)

      • +2

Ah damn - looks grayed out and I didn't see it

        Cheers

        • No worries :)

  • is the output 2.4A or 3A for the USB type C?

    • Asking the important questions.

      • -1

With you understanding of USB ports, please explain to me how that ISN'T a good question.

        • I wasn't being sarcastic haha … I actually want to know because I've no use for a Type-C charger that only does 2.4A.

    • Found it on product description at Amazon and BangGood

      Output parameter: 5V2A / 9V2A / 12V1.5A

And the output to USB Type-C is through Type-A port with a Type-A to Type-C cable. Checks it out at this Reddit thread, and feedback from buyer at OzBargain.

    • It is QC2.0, so if you are charging a USB Type C device that does not support QC2.0, it reverts back to only 5V/2A.

    • +4

to summarise everyone. it doesn't even output on type C. that is a port solely for charging the powerbank.

  • +1

Thanks got another one. Don't worry about the nay sayers. One of the best power banks around.
I've been using it with my nexus 6p and while the charge rate may not be quick charge it will charge it from zero to full in about 3 hours.

The power bank itself will quick charge from the wall socket and keeps my phone alive for approx 3 days with heavy use

    • Nexus 6P battery is 3450mah so if its taking 3 hours to fully charge, that's quite slow and less than the stated 5V/2A.

  • Hi guys, what do you think of Zapals compared to geardo they sell it for $39? https://www.zapals.com/genuine-mi-power-bank-pro-10000mah-qu…

    • +2

For $7 more I would prefer to support an ozbargain member and get express delivery instead of who knows what…

    • GearDo are an Australian business and ship locally (in my case delivered item less than 24hrs). You will receive a Tax Invoice with the included GST.

Zapals are an international company which may no longer be able to ship power banks to Australia if coming from the China Warehouse. If it does, there is a good chance of it being rejected at Customs. Plus the additional long shipping time. Power banks have already stopped coming from Everbuying, GearBest etc.

Yep so I would suggest to buy local and save the hassle of dealing with these problems :)

  • Any deals on the 16000mah one? :)

  • Sorry guys, i am not very sound with type of cables but i have a samsung s6 edge and i think correct me if i am wrong, uses micro usb cable? Does this powerbank work with it and does it come with a cable as well?

    • +1

The S6 uses USB QC 2.0.

This is a special protocol that negotiates a higher VOLTAGE between the phone and the charger, whilst using a standard USB port (in your case MicroUSB).

      The specs above say this does QC 2.0 output voltages of 5V 2A / 9V 2A / 12V 1.5A - this equates to power of 10W / 18W / 18W respectively. Your phone's QC 2.0 chip will negotiate a suitable charging voltage according to it's needs.

Important for you - the Samsung Q+A says:

However, Galaxy S6 fast charging will be disabled automatically when:
      • you are not using a normal wall charger, not the adaptive charger.
      • or you are using the phone with screen on.
      • or battery level is more than 50%.

In these cases, the charger drops back to standard USB 5V 2A which is 10W, a bit more than half of the 18W that it can do on the special 9V and 12V QC modes.

    • +1

I have an S6 (non-Edge) and have been using this Xiaomi QC2.0 10000mAh powerbank for a few months now. It comes with a USB-A to Micro USB cable, and a Micro USB to USB Type-C adapter. So for your S6 Edge, you need to unplug the adapter from the cable and connect your phone to the power bank. It charges my S6 at QC2.0 rate, which is fast. Worth getting!

  • +3

Any chance of a 20,000mAh deal? Heading to China for a bit soon and I'm looking for a bigger capacity.

    • why not buy it over there?

      • Aussie warranty - I'll only be there a few weeks.

        • There is a 10000mAh limit at customs in Beijing ;)

        • @Clear: According to the guidelines, the limit is in watt-hours (100Wh, which is equal to 20,000mAh at 5v). The Xiaomi 20,000 is rated at 72Wh.

  • +1

    thankyou!

  • i was also looking at this
    http://www.geardo.com.au/index.php/batteries/power-banks/xia…
and the only difference is QC2.0 out is that right? (i dont have any type c devices) l

  • +1

    Ordered one. Thanks

  • So these will charge it self and my Galaxy S6 fast charge right?

  • +1

Anyone know if this comes with any cables included, or if you have to add on the optional extras?

    • +2

Mine came with a micro usb cable with a usb c adapter

      • Cheers mate.

  • +1

    Just bought one. Tx

  • Will this quickcharge s7 exynos ?

    • Sure will, not as fast as an outlet but nearly the same. I have one and use it everyday.

      • How many full charges of an s7 do you tend to get out of it before it's empty?

        • Two and a bit. More than enough to ensure your phone will get you through the day. No longer feel worried about my phone usage throughout the day

  • Been waiting for this deal. Does this quickcharge iphone 7?

  • I don't really understand all the usb types and stuff. I have a xiaomi redmi note 3. If I get this, can I use my regular usb<->OTG cables? Will it go both ways?

  • why not 2 output ports…

  • +1

    Sorry for the noob question,
I own an OP3 and wondering if this powerbank is suitable for it. I currently have a ROMOSS powerbank that seems to randomly keep disconnecting when charging my phone. Not sure if it's a compatibility issue or something.

    • Nah not a bad question :) The OP3 supports QC 3.0 according to the specs, whilst this charger supports devices up to QC 2.0

I believe it will charge the device however not at the optimal speed? Someone correct me if I'm wrong? :)

      And welcome to OzBargain! :D

      • It will charge as fast as qc 2.0. Quick charge is backwards compatible

  • +2

I wonder what happened to Mushtato. Haven't seen them offering much recently been asking for this power bank with QC for a while. I mount as well just buy it off from this shop instead

    • Hey Neonlight , we can offer better price than our competition because we order stock by the 1000's and not just 100's so we get a much better deal than any other Aus seller :)

  • +1

    Sold out?

  • Deal has been ozbargained! Keep it up :) I believe you can still order at this price for the new stock coming on the 13th of October according to the site? Let me just confirm this with the rep and I'll give an update :)

    • +1

Yes stuhtb you are absolutely correct customers can pre-order and get the item for the same price when new stock comes on the 13th of October. Cheers !!

      • +1

Awesome! Looking forward to the next deal :)

  • Can anyone tell me, is there any real benefit to getting this over the (much) cheaper one which has no USB Type-C?

I have a type-C phone, but it seems like it gets no real benefit from this powerbank as the Type-C is only for charging the bank.

Is the benefit purely the charging speed of the bank itself?

    • +1

Yes. The powerbank will charge overnight compared to 1.5-2 days with no USB Type C quickcharge

These pro models use LG and Samsung cells as far as I know. compared to my partners Iphone battery case which has the same power rating it lasts twice as long and takes half the time to charge

      • +1

        Great reply, thanks. I'm sold.

      • +1

A non type C should fully charge overnight as well. You must be using a very slow charger to take 1.5-2 days. Micro USB chargers can output at 2.4a. doesn't type c go to 3a?

Unless you are using a QC charger, it probably won't be any faster. As someone above said that it comes with a micro USB and type c adaptor, you are limited by that unless you use a QC charger.

  • Bought one for my S7E and LG G4, will make my missus jealous as iPhone cannot quick charge. Android for life! Since 2007

  • Not up to date with the latest tech so not sure what all these features of the pro version do. I have a oneplus one, can anyone tell me if it can actually use these features or better to go with the lower models?

  • These retail for 149RMB in China, that's just under $30 AUD.
Australian warranty and express shipping makes this an attractive deal

  • Hi REP.. Any chance of the getting the Xiaomi Mi Box?

  • I ordered on Friday then I got order confirmation but then got warehouse manager email about not arriving until 13th Oct, system error so will I still get it once stock is in?

    • +1

Yep I believe so, Rep said they sold out, so new stock will be coming on the 13th of October which is now on pre-order :) Sorry on their behalf if this caused any inconvenience

  • i have a xiaomi air(Laptop), does this work on my laptop>?

    • +1

How is the xiaomi air? Been eyeing one for a while

      • So far so good

  • +1

    Received mine. Thanks

  • +1

Received mine yesterday. Just had to come back to this thread to figure out which port I should use for charging (USB-C).

  • :( I haven't received mine. Got email saying it will be delivered on 18th.. Happy to wait…

  • Please update pre order now on 18 Oct

    • Done :) Sorry for the wait but I have no control..

      • Understand. I read the email its customs hold up.

Obviously with a large number of drop ships these days customs are way busy

  • Hi Rep, just wanted to see if you had any deals for the 20,000mah xiaomi power bank?
If not, are you able to organise one? ;)
Wanted to buy one of these before heading overseas early November and not sure that 10,000mah would be big enough for the back-to-back flights.
    Cheers!

  • I'm going overseas end of this month (next weekend). As it's not in stock yet am I likely to get it in Brisbane before I go?

Also I already have xiaomi 10400 power bank. I like slim form factor of this new device, but will it charge my nexus 6p any faster?

    • doesn't look like the rep wants to reply to any of us anymore >.<"
      abandoned his own post lol
