    Bris/GC - no love

AirAsia ex GC for $367 (via KL) is the cheapest I can see.

If they reach their intended destination…

Its all good their pilot's have to take antidepressants now.

  • Any deals for this Christmas period or should I just book what I can get now?

    • Same

  • For the dates given from Sydney I get $179 each way (or $358 return).

In that case it's better value to fly to Bangkok with Scoot, which is currently $199 each way on sale ($398 return) i.e. $40 more.

I checked Scoot directly (the cheaper fare on IWTF was using eDreams for the return leg).

        I didn't know IWTF does resellers. I'm a SkyScanner boy :)

Don't use edreams, I lost money with them a few years ago. Google edreams complaints to see just how many have issues.

        • @petestrash: Yeah I noticed the low rating on Skyscanner.

I've never used these websites because the horror stories make me nervous but I believe Flight Centre will price match any company with an ABN (such as Bestjet, but not Opodo, eDreams etc).

  • There are also flight to Beijing from Sydney for $384 return with Opodo via IWTF ($402 direct with AirAsia website).

Seriously, with Scoot I'm surprised you don't have to pay extra for oxygen. Once you add baggage, food etc etc it just doesn;t seem that good a deal. Yes, I know some of you will manage to board wearing seven layers of clothing and not eat for the entire flight but then there's us normal people…

What are you comparing it to exactly? If it's a better deal (cheaper by $50+?) after adding all the stuff normal people would normally want anyway, then it's still a good (not great) deal.

I still don't think after adding everything you'll find that this is less than $50 cheaper than their direct competitors BA, SQ, QF.
