Well that deescalated quickly. So saying you'd rather use a $1.50 mouse gets upvotes in another deal, but making a joke about that post gets slammed :D I <3 you guys

      Enjoy your MX Anywhere 2's.

      You don't get it

"Brown" isn't referring to the colour of the backlight, rather the type of mechanical switch. Brown switches are the most commonly preferred.
And you aren't paying for the word gaming, mechanical keyboards are much more expensive to manufacture than membrane.
I believe the backlight is white.

Just an example of a clueless guy who tried to make a smart-ass comment, but end up looking like a dumb-ass.

Love this keyboard. Have it at work and would never go back to a non-mech kb. It fits nicely into a corporate environment as it is plain black and the backlighting is white (and can be customised or turned off all together). The "Brown" switches aren't too loud, and it is built like a tank. I paid 149 and don't regret it for a second.

I too bought this keyboard just for work. Not as loud as other MX Brown keyboards and aesthetically blends in very well to office environment. I've also managed to use it to convince a few colleagues to get mech kb's too :D

  • Nice, just got one. Thanks Trent.

Minor warning on the MX Anywhere 2 mouse. It doesn't have a middle click button. The scroll wheel click controls whether the wheel is in free-wheeling or graduated mode. There is a small customizable button below the wheel that you can set to be the middle mouse button using the logitech software, although it's a bit awkward to press.

The other features of the mouse are fantastic if you can live with that.

The mouse wheel clicks sideways, you can set that to middle click, I actually far prefer it to a traditional middle click.

    • There is a button underneath the wheel which you can change to middle click. You adapt to it.

This is what I did. Works well for me

    • Was very close to buying until I read this. What a stupid design limitation. Thanks for the post!

  • Looks like the keyboard does not provide a C&C option so shipping cost &9.62 needs to be considered when purchasing, which makes it $124.18 shipped.

  • Ordered one keyboard earlier this morning, now just received an email it is out of stock, have to wait for more new stock to arrive before I will receive mine. Not happy.

  • g610 removed from listing

Honestly pay extra for a filco if investing for a mech keyboard.

    • Honest question; what do you get for the extra $100? And how long have you used the Logitech to compare it to the filco?

      • I wouldn't get a Filco in Australia since they're pretty overpriced and you don't even get double shot keycaps for the price. Ducky ONE is probably the best choice in AU right now. It's $30 more than the G610 and use dye sublimation or laser engraving on their PBT caps or double shot ABS on their backlit keyboards (none of this ever:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SErGSRHdFpM). They come with macro functionality, 1000hz polling, rollover, detachable cord, plus they look nice and simple with a narrow bezel.

Mechanical Keyboard is not for everyone. It is quite fun to use at the beginning, however my fingers feel a bit tired after several hour, therefore I go back to bluetooth membrane keyboard.

  • the g610 is back up for sale.. Honestly, is it worth it?

  • great mouse been using them for years (work + 2 at home) *version 1 that is
