Feral Hop Hog IPA $49.95 Per Case of 16 @ Dan Murphy's (from $40.95 with AmEx Offer) [WA]

100

Usually $57.99 for a case of 16 when I added it to my cart a couple of days ago, now $49.95. I added a $2.00 foldable gift box to make it up to $51.95 so the price comes down to $41.95 after the AMEX discount ($10 off $50 spend). you can add a $1.00 card if you want to be really cheap.

50$ for 16 beers seems high must be a really good drop ?

    • the best along with stone & wood.

Stone and wood what? Please don't say pacific ale, because hop hog is miles ahead of that

        • Yes Pacific Ale.. hahaha I feel like different horses for different courses. I also like 4 Pines Pale Ale.

        • The jasper ale is pretty decent imo

$61 for me at my local DMs. Feral Hop Hog is one of the best 'off the shelf' IPAs, this is a pretty great price.

damn WA… mining wages + cheaper beers. Why can't Sydney have it for $50.

Who else feels like when they go out to a pub/club etc… IDGAF YEAH $9 a beer no worries. Take my money! Then when you look at Dan Murphys… hmm $60/16 = ~3.8ea.. nah fk that's expensive. Me at The Oaks Hotel the other night, had Feral Hop Hog on tap.

    • i drink at home most of the time …… $12 for a pint of boutique at the local is crazy……. only drink out after work on a friday with work colleagues. weekends …..it's at home.

not sure why ipas are so expensive ….. the guys at dans said due to higher alcohol content and tax but that doesn't work if you do the maths …… i think it's just marketing.

It's those, plus hops cost $$$

Going from a homebrew scale, the difference in ingredient costs between making something like a lager or basic pale ale to an IPA can be more than double, and it's all due to hop costs.

    • popped in to pick up the $38 makers mark.. decided to try out the cheap 6 Monteith's Golden Ale on special 6 for $12……… taste like water. I mean even VB has more flavour. I guess you can say it's refreshing.

      • I've found all of the Monteith's profoundly disappointing. Have a colleague who is Kiwi who assures me one of their beers is good, but it's not one that is available here. I find them best avoided.

Yep. Having lived in NZ for 4 years I can vouch for Monteiths being rubbish. There are loads of really amazing beers from NZ though.

        • Monteiths dark beer were ok for the DM $12 special. Had them on election night. Not bad. Definitely not dissapointing though.

  • There are $1 waters as well.

hmmm..16 beers for $50, tempting but not as 24 cans of Rivet for $26.
