now i wish i'd bitten the bullet on the gigabyte rx480 when they were 20% on the. last sale, guess now with click n collect so you get $100 voucher, makes the rx480 4 GB a nice card .

they also have the rx470 at $320 plus voucher …… very close to same performance and a nice deal if you just need 1080p …..

I'd go the 1060 3gb before considering the rx 470. 1060 3gb still outperforms the rx 480 in most dx11 games.

The 480's are completely overpriced right now , you would be mad to buy one instead of a 1060 unless you are a bitcoin miner.

The 4GB model should be around 250-300 dollars Aust and the 8Gb 300-350 but bitcoin miners and supply issues have the insane prices we have currently.

The RRP has the 480 priced below the 1060 which is what it should be and would make it good value.

    • Yea I bit the bullet and bought G1 OC RX 480 from Gigabyte for $359.60.

They'll have numerous 20% sale before the years end.

  • Nice finds. But the dirtbags just put the price up $10 on the GTX 1060 6GB - now $430. Update please :-)

    • i would just remove the 1060 from the deal

  • These 1060 prices seem too high. Even MWave has a 3GB variant for $309, if only they had an ebay eligible option.

  • $250 for a GTX 1060 is actually rediculously good if you needed to get something else from ebay for $100.
    (if thats how it works)

      rediculously

Why the hell do people keep making this mistake!?
      ridiculous

$250 for a GTX 1060 is actually rediculously good if you needed to get something else from ebay for $100.

Doesn't work like that. It's $350 for $450 worth of goods on ebay.
Unless you were going to spend that $100 anyway, it's not a discount on your item.

Sure but ebay bucks to me is the same as petrol coupons or whatever… I WILL spend $100 on ebay before the end of the year and I WILL spend more than $100 on petrol.

You make it sound like people dont buy stuff off ebay.

There's been too many sales I don't know what to buy anymore :(

Sure this is Australia. This place is the epicenter of conspicuous consumption. Black Friday sales are coming up and inevitable Xmas sales….

Just an FYI, the $100 voucher is only good for the month of November.

      • Well I was looking for a friend who needs to buy some parts for a PC. He would spend the $100 on other parts for the computer, maybe a Mobo , or PSU, so its a dam good deal in that regards.

        Dont be rediculous.

Fair enough, just make sure the other parts aren't slightly overpriced. It's almost a rule that if a store has its own website, it's ebay store equivalent is more expensive.

          Dont be rediculous.

          Goddamn it.

Seeing as the Gigabyte RX480 G1 8GB was only $359 delivered in the last eBay 20% off sale this does not strike me as a bargain for the XFX variant.

  • A thread on Reddit about the XFX RX 480 RS: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/513amg/xfx_480_rs_revi…

  • i'm really tempted to get the Gigabyte nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

why? because i haven't played games for over a decade, and want to catch up on everything i missed while i was failing at life. surely this will be enough to play 2005-2015 era games at max settings? i will spec out the latest rig then just upgrade the video card later on and sell this one for about half.

249 + 100 credit (i can easily spend on eBay) sounds good to me.

i eventually want to get into 4k gaming, but even the latest cards aren't there yet (based on a few hours of research last night)

    • yup good for small time gaming and has a mild future…

As for that $100, maybe ask Grandma if she wants to buy Christmas gifts off eBay this year…

      • i might even skip this and get the 1050 ti that's coming out before end october. it'll be around or less than 200 and should again meet my needs in the interim until i catch up.

  • *Small correction - the XFX Radeon RX 480 RS GTR 8GB

Some reviews for the RS 4GB are not too hot.. or rather are too hot with high temps due to the RS cooler and issues with OC'ing the card. Effectively there is a $58 price difference for what would be the same FPS @ 1080p gaming but I think the reviews and potential future proofing for the 8GB/GTR card are better.

Hopefully selling the eBay voucher to a friend so $320 is a great price! :)
