  • Which aircraft do QF use on this route these days?

    • +1

When the route launches in Jan 2017, QF will use the A330-200. Same config as the Shanghai flights.

      • OK thanks.

      • +2

The Shanghai services are operated by an A330-300, which have been refurbished. The A330-200s Qantas are going to use for the Beijing service aren't as refurbished and 'new' as the A330-300s that are used to Shanghai. For example, in business class the seats on the Beijing service will still be the old angled seats, rather than the new lie flat versions. But in economy it will be the same seating configuration (although older).

    • Smogbus A330

  • Wow same price as cathay but direct vs. hk stopover. Not that i have any plan to go to pek though…

  • +1

Good price, thanks for the post!

  • Hi, can we use Qantas gift card for these flights? Thank you. We still have hundreds.

    • If you're departing from and returning to Australia and don't want a multicity itinerary, no reason why not. You'll need to book directly with Qantas though rather than with a travel agent.

  • +1

It is a great price. At least for Adelaide. Isn't it ?

    • China southern have it cheaper, on certain dates :) I saw it for $418 return.

      • I would prefer Qantas though.

  • Note that travel dates, at least on Melbourne - Beijing, extend until Sep 2017, which makes the deal even more interesting.
