Got ebgame promotion email yesterday, there is a unique code in email and can use it to get discount on Sony online
Check your email with ebgames, not sure if you can call and ask ebgame customer service to get one but worth to try.

Most media review for X8000D is positive and it's made in Japan.

Bought a 49'' myself and works smoothly. Combined with cash back 2.5% and first time free shipping, great save!

Update: I'm level 3 member in ebgames, but didn't order PS4 PRO from them, I bought several PS4 VR and may be that helps.       This morning it was displaying at $999 for the 49" without entering any codes right through the checkout. It was also displaying as being a "PLAYSTATION PLUS OFFER"?

      Didn't get chance to complete checkout and came back now and it's showing at the original price..

    After talking in store, any codes they have are for staff, as they where offered the special as well, so if you got 1 in store, they gave up 1 of their codes. They were unable to confirm what the criteria was to receive the code as well.
    they recommended calling their customer support as the best chance of picking up a code.
    if anyone has a spare code let me know, or i can try the hard way and call them up as well.

    Hi guys. I called up Ebgames Customer Service and they have reported not to have anymore codes as it was a promotion for preordering a ps4 pro.     received our 2 orders last night, set one up and tried it out, didn't have any 4k content to view only had the tv cable connected so can't really comment the quality other than it was hella easy to set up. oh and btw its got 4 and a half star energy saving (300 ish kwh yr) i'm a noob but with HDR its built in correct? there's no requirement to "turn it on " in the settings is it?

      HDR is on auto setting by default. You can download some HDR demos online and copy them to USB to play them on tv. You will be blown away by the quality of true 4K HDR content…

      Obvious questions:
      Did you try multiple different HDMI cables?
      Didi you power off and on connected devices once connected, and in reverse order? IE TV On, power cycle input device. Input device On, power cycle TV.
      A mix of the above two scenarios - different cables with different power cycles.
      Turn OFF HDCI CeC (Bravia Sync) on every device, this has always been known to cause HDMI handshake issues, so take it out of the equation.

      Try Implement this:

      I recently had a issue with HDMI on my new Sony not recognizing on any device. Disconnect everything from tv and only connect DVD player(or device) via one HDMI connection. Under the Channels & Inputs setting on tv, go to Manage Inputs and make sure the HDMI connections are selected to Enable "Always".

      Once you connect the DVD player via HDMI, and everything else is disconnected, turn off your tv (w/ the DVD player still on). Then turn your tv back on. It should recognize the HDMI connection after turning it on again.

      If DVD player is a HDMI controlled device, it will be listed as such under Channels&Inputs>HDMI Settings>Device List. If it's listed under there (once HDMI is recognized), you can enable Control in that menu. Also you need to have "Control for HDMI" On first, before you can enter that menu.

      Check to see whether your HDMI Control setting is on or off. Also check the HDMI/DVI Audio Source setting under Sound.

      If after this, your device is still not being recognized, I would suggest a Master Reset of the Sony TV. With the TV on, Hold the Up arrow on the Remote, then push the Power button on the TV (while holding the Arrow up). Your tv will turn off automatically, then turn On a few seconds later.

      If the source supports 4K and/or HDR make sure you match those settings on both the TV and source or you may get a mismatched signal.
      You may also have issues with a 4K or HDR supported device if you're using an older, non-high speed HDMI cable, have you tried switching HDMI cables?

    edit :

    plug the hdmi cable to 2 or 3

    press the home button on tv remote

    scroll all the way down to settings

    press EXTERNAL INPUTS

    HDMI SIGNAL FORMAT

    enhanced format :):):):)

    then the option will be enabled :)
