It's been this price for some time and you get better value for money with the Dyson V6 at $348 in Harvey Norman/Good Guys. Even better if you catch it at 20% off eBay sales.

The dc44 has the second version of Dysons digital motor, the V6 the 6th version with roughly 50% more power, lighter trigger, as well as a larger brush bar to clean quicker.
The only downside would be that the V6 wouldn't have a mini motorised tool (used for cleaning upholstery).

But can be bought from Dyson directly for $60 delivered :) http://shop.dyson.com.au/spare-parts/mini-motorhead-962748-0…

      • Off topic but they changed the connection slightly from the DC31 motorhead vs the V6, but both seem to be same voltage and wattage.
Getting it to fit doesn't seem to be a hard task, just wondering if anyone already done so and it works ok?

Pretty much came here for this. Lol

Card ready to go at 10am

  • I read the review of all these V6 or DC44, how long can it suck the dust ? Around 7 mins (V6) with max level. Is it true ?
I can't imagine people use vacumn to suck the dust for 7 mins and takes hours to charge it again.

I don't mind the cable but whats best model can do the good job ?

    • It's a dust buster, not designed to do the whole house.
I let the Neato do the rest.
