But i'm thinking these Calvin Klein wallets that COTD got a hold of are very old stock from when RFID protection in wallets were unheard of (before they started putting that pesky RFID chips in credit cards).

Me too, i've got a Samsonite RFID protection wallet too. Very nice.
They were the first to bring it to the market and then ended up getting their travel wallet.
The NFC standard for contactless payment is far more secure thans the standard RFID
