Well spotted this yesterday night, but have no idea what it was XD

Suspect the 4tb will be cheaper in the next few weeks again with the aussie dollar making a few gains against the US recently. This is around the price shipped from amazon.com

  • Still using 1866mhz ddr3, difference?

    • Odds are your motherboard probably doesn't support ddr4 anyway. But regardless, not much, it any, gain to be made for ordinary applications

      • Thanks. I better keep save till next gen cpu

  • is this RAM for Desktop or Laptop?

  • +3

That's a really good price for the RAM, 1 stick is ~$110 here. Bought 2 for my upcoming hackintosh build.

    • Hey man, do you know much about Hackintoshs? I'm building my first new PC in about 6 years and have a good idea of budget and parts that I want but I'd like to have it Hackintosh compatible. Is it possible/practical with a bit of work? I realise I may need to wait for drivers as I think I'm going to get a 1070 VGA.

tonymacx86 is your friend. Only 9xx series cards work atm, so I'm planning to use the integrated HD 530 (which works surprisingly well apparently btw) until decent NVIDIA drivers are released. Other than that, Skylake works very well.

Does lyl stand for 'lyl you legend'?

  • The RAM deal has expired/out of stock

  • +2

    • Thanks for this

Was disappointed initially when the OP RAM sticks deal expire so quickly

I actually ordered 2. 64GB DDR4 RAMs for 270+ AUD is a real steal IMHO!

      • holy moly 64gb !! first time I heard of that. Man technology is advancing at a crazy pace.

  • im gettin 72 euros

    • We don't pay VAT …

      Order summary
      Articles: EUR 87.49
      Delivery : EUR 12.71
Amount ex VAT : EUR 100.20
      VAT : EUR 0.00

      Total with tax: EUR 100.20
      Grand total payment: AUD 148.79

Not sure how you are getting 72 euros

      • Wait so 148 for the 16gb ram?

ahh ok the 77$ deal expired :'( my bad.

        • $148 for 2 sticks of 16GB … 32GB total
Works out to be the same price as the per stick for the single stick (before it expired), or actually marginally cheaper.

          Auto translate option in Chrome.

Depends on the motherboard you are looking at purchasing for your new PC.
Need to make sure it supports DDR4 (DDR3 and DDR4 are not interchangeable).

I'm looking at doing a rebuild but waiting for the i7-7700k (depending on how much longer until it becomes available, lots of early leaks in the last few months).
If that's too far off, I'll settle for a i7-6700k.

        • @hellrazorone:

wow i7-7700k…maybe one day ill get that haha ! ahh thanks for that point about the motherboard and it not being interchangeable.

thanks a lot, srry not experienced with amazon much.

  • these RAM makers should be very boring.

  • Ram deal is back.

  • Can confirm RAM is back in stock. Just ordered some.

  • i bought a pair of 16gb six days ago. yet i cant see any transaction on my bank account. i e-mailed amazon france. i am awaiting for their respond.

    • maybe the item was on backorder and wasn't sent yet, amazon doesn't charge your bank until it sends the item.

      • So can they cancel my order if it's out of stock ?

        • Amazon pretty much never cancels order if its 'out of stock', it might take around a month for them to get stock though. You can cancel the order yourself in the order history if you want though.

        • thanks man. they shipped today.
