  • hi superbass,

    wonder instead of doing this
"If you have accor amex offer on multiple cards and thinking of staying more than 2 consecutive nights, use one card per night if they are over $200 a night. And then, email the hotel to combine the reservation"

cant we just book and pay with multiple AMEX card on arrival?

These Accor "sales" usually require upfront payment at time of booking.

  • Seems to be a recycle of the previous deal. Can't really get excited with these Accor sales anymore. Thanks for the post though OP

    • Very True - previous deal was up to 40% off, so hopefully this is slightly more or for people who missed out last time

      • The previous deal included free breakfast

        • or for people who missed out last time?

  • The Amex deal you linked to says you have to complete the stay by Dec 22 '16, but you're saying if you pay in full now that doesn't apply?

The T&C's seem to suggest it only applies to Accor's Australian hotels?

This deal can NOT be combined with Amex deal, as this deal requires prepayment, and Amex deal has to be paid at the hotel.

    • +1

YES it can. so was the previous accor deal which required prepay. I got two credit card for next Apr stay.
Heaps of other posts saying the same.

      • I am simply stating Amex conditions.
If you still can get cash back from Amex, it's great.

  • Will book

Scratching my head wondering why I can't see any specials. Realised booking starts in 6 days… Should have gone to Specsavers!

  • Was in Europe not too long ago and use the ACCOR Hotel phone app. Collecting point got me a free night accomodation, staying at Pullman/Novotel/Mercure. Also gets you 15% off Europcar.
And don't forget 4.80% Cashback with CASHREWARDS

    • What is the Accor hotel phone app you are referring to? How to collect points with that?

      • Its just the Accor app, just search it on Appstore or Google. The app stores your member id and collects points like you would normally if you logged in through the website. Some times special promo's might pop up to book through their mobile portal.

  • +2

Before you book, remember to register for x4 points asia pacific offer.
For those who don't know the value of points this is an awesome offer to combine with this sale if staying before 28/12.
So what is x4 points actually worth? For stays at the higher quality hotels, usual points give 4% back in points, so x4 equates to 16% back in points (half this for ibis hotels). Plus being a platinum i get an additional 4% status benefit so 20% back in points for me. The 16-20% back is not just on room bookings but on food and beverage, parking etc. Points can be redeemed for future bookings and for vouchers of 40 euro and count towards status but only til the end of the year with things changing in 2017. Register via this link http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/leclub/hotels-offers/promotion…

    • I am a gold member. The Accor Hotel promotions are a real pain in the backside. I registered the booking but did not take the screenshot for the registeration in May. They refused the bonus points (4 stays of 2 day min 10,000 points). This time I took the screenshot during the Sep promotion in my account, It showed on my Login before the promotion ended. Since the promotion is over, It is not showing in my card. They want proof. It is still getting reviewed. I am so pissed with Accor call centre.

      Lesson:
Always take the screenshot of the promotion

Did u face the similar problem?

      • I haven't had that problem before but have heard of others in your situation. Totally agree that you should always take a screenshot as proof. Thanks for reminder. Hope you get your points.

        • Nope. They said since the booking was done with a work travel agent and not online. I was not eligible.

Never do their prize beat - it is a struggle…..better go with the offer somewhere else where it is cheap.

        • @igreen: sorry you had to learn the hard way. It has always been the case that no points are earned when not booked directly. It is in the t &c's.

  • Anyone having luck booking?

    • I am just seeing 40% off public rate without the free breakfast even after using my Le Club membership number

  • I'm not seeing the 40% off or free breakfast. Have emailed Accor. Any suggestions? The hotel I'm looking at is one in the list.

    • started, im seeing 50% plus free breakfast for the hotels i wanted :-)

      • I can see 40% off now, not free breakfast though.

        • it's stated 40% for public, 50% plus breakfast for accor plus member.. for the hotel i booked in Lombok and KL..
you can join accor plus if you wanted…and i joined via the Msia channel and it's <AU$200 which includes 1 free stay..

  • I tried to book a hotel in Sydney during Christmas, but could not find any room with 50% off, not even 40%

    • You need to have Accor Plus member to get the 50% discount + breakfast in most cases. General public or the free membership only got like 40%.
Not sure if you can use someone else's number (it'd go thhrough online, but I suppose they'd check when you check-in?). I tried a couple, booking for 2 adults + 2 kids, but breakfast is only for 2 in Melbourne area. Mercure Albert Park Melbourne is rather cheap though, $75 a night in Nov with the 50% off.

      • im booking for my sister next year travel, and i got no issue giving her my membership card.. but will they do a further checking for an id as well ?? anyone got any experience ??

      • I do have Accor Plus membership, and logged in when booking, but could not see the 50% discount for Sydney Hotels during Christmas, the best rate I could see is the "Accor Plus Spring/Summer Special".

        • excite: try booking WITHOUT logging in. Ive got an accor plus membership too. When I put in my membership number, it's just the normal rates like the "Accor Plus Spring/Summer Special".

However, when I search WITHOUT my membership number, it gives me the 40% off (public rate without breakfast).

I called to ask what is happening (is there a glitch in the system). They are clueless and have no idea. From their end there is no 40% off even to the public. I just wasted 1h of my life with them. So frustrating… I ended up booking the 40% off public rate.

    • From the participating hotel list it only includes the following Sydney hotels:

ibis Budget ibis Budget Sydney Olympic Park Sydney
ibis ibis Sydney Olympic Park Sydney
Novotel Novotel Sydney Olympic Park Sydney
Pullman Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park Sydney

      (plus the airport hotels)

  • Made two calls and both were next to useless. They had no idea about the 40% with breakfast, and referred me to the public discount.

    • Ive got an accor plus membership. when I put in my membership number, it's just the normal rates. When I search WITHOUT my membership number, it gives me the 40% rate without breakfast.

I called to ask what is happening (is there a glitch in the system) and they are clueless and have no idea. I just wasted 1h of my life with them! So frustrating… I ended up booking without the member rate.

  • In some of the hotels (specifically Sofitel) there are rooms listed with 'Club Sofitel' which states that you get exclusive access with breakfast etc. However, the ad listed says 'Breakfast not included' - so which is it?

EDIT: Just called to confirm - Club Sofitel access includes free breakfast; the ad is just generic text for every room.

  • To get 50% off plus free breakfast you need to be a member of Accor Plus.
This is $385 via Accor Australia but I joined via Fiji which is about A$200.
This includes a free night at most properties in Asia-Pacific as well so might be worthwhile if you have a few stays planned.
Accor Plus also gives you 50% off most meals in most Accor Asia-Pacific properties (even if you are not staying there).

    • +1

Here's a link where you can get 20% off accor plus in australia ($385 down to $308) if you pay by mastercard. Yes, not as cheap as asia but more convenient.
      https://www.accorplus.com/mastercard
Accor plus member also get a free bottle of wine when spending over $ 50 and paying by mastercard til the end of month (plus dining discount).
If joining remember to mention a members name and email and they will get a voucher for a bottle of wine.

  • I am having trouble finding any hotels with discounts?

Do they show rates with 50% off or are the rates already discounted?

Appreciate if someone could give me sample dates that have discount.

  • This had to be one of the worst sale events from Accor.. virtually no 40% discount+breakfast for the dozen hotels that I checked around Queensland.. very disappointed
