LOL, you lit my night up man LMAO

      • I said I bought 1000, got same amount but negs, LOL

  • +2

Grey ink cartridge? So now you need 5 cartridges?

    • 5 cartridges, but not grey: the usual CMYK plus pigment black (code PGBK), which I think is common with many/most Canons.

    • +1

Grey is mixed with Cyan and Magenta to "halftone".

Without halftoning, you have to use fewer dots of ink, resulting in a loss of resolution. With halftoning, you can keep more dots of a lower intensity (keeping resolution high)

  • Bought 3 with local pickup thanks OP.

    • which store

      • Got a cancellation call this morning. pissed as i need this printer

  • -4

No way that's a pricing error

    • +84

      punctuation makes all the difference.

      • +1

Beat me to it by 3 seconds.

    • Are you saying that is the price or did you miss a comma?

      • +36

        No way that's a typo

      • +1

I would suggest that the comma is not required, given that the statement is rhetorical.

  • Does it print colour ?

    • -2

Can't believe the number of negative votes. It was clearly trolling. As if spend $4000 on printers.

    • Try delivery which will probably be $10 for 1 printer delivered…… that's what is was for me anyway.

      • +9

Don't need it anyway. Better leave it for someone who actually needs it in case they do honour it.

      • +7

        Delivery was $150 for 4825.

  • Haha crazy. No way they honour this… But totally worth a shot!

  • $35-$45 for delivery ! Metro adl

    • +2

One printer was $10 delivery, but then $35 for two or more!

      • +1

        With a limit of 3

  • Well, it's worth a shot.

  • Lol, worth a shot right. I'd been debating whether to buy a printer and at $4 there's no debate needed. Nice find op.

  • +1

Order was allocated to a store for processing.

  • +4

Site is slow but managed to order one.

Now just waiting for the cancellation email.

  • Great find op. I managed to get the last one pickup at my local.

  • lol someone at The GG stuffed up!

    • +2

      Oh well. JBHifi bought them.

  • Time to upgrade my printer, thanks op!

  • Ordered! At $14 it's a bargain for me even if it's just for the scanner function. No more trips to the Office Printer to scan personal stuff.

  • Bought one with local pick up, fingers crossed.

    • It didn't allow local pick-up when I tried it - said was in stock when I checked too.

  • Thanks OP ordered one from my local, hoping it's not a cancellation. Then again it's not out of the question to be valid cos Officeworks does 10 buck printers on clearance here and there.

  • Wow. Impulse buy, thanks OP.

Does anyone have tips on generic cartridges for these?

    • +1

Buy 10 printers and you get 9 refills ;)

      • buy it for the ink cartridges? Good move

  • Wish it was another pricing error by VA… :/

  • Selected to pick one up at TGG Carseldine, QLD. See what happens next… haha

    • +2

      i was 10 seconds late i can't select carseldine now :(

  • thanks OP. Now wait for pick up email, hopefully

  • +6

I bought one. I have no idea why.

  • A friend had this printer which was very slow in starting up. Bought one anyway. Thanks OP!

  • +5

    Makes $9 sound expensive.

  • +5

Remember to use your $25 voucher if you have one left. Add a few other things to reach $25 or close to it, in my case the delivery fee stayed at $10 with a couple boxes of coffee pods.

    • If only I had read this earlier :(

    • -2

You would be better off saving that $25 for something you actually need (or a future ozb deal) instead of trying to find $46 of things you don't need to fill your cart up. It's only $4.

      • I did need the pods, I just added the printer & delivery to the order instead of 2 more boxes of pods.

The voucher doesn't have that requirement, I think it's been that way for some time/forever? Printer was $14 delivered, added 2 boxes of pods for $7.49ea = $28.98 - $25 voucher = $3.98 paid.

Vouchers expires in 2 weeks max. If it wasn't for the printer I'd just buy 4 boxes of pods with the voucher as I did last time (3 boxes pick upas they weren't on special then).

    • -3

      $50 minimum voucher

      • +2

        Only for those misinformed :)

    • +1

Yeah I got a Chromecast as well. Stayed at $10 delivery fee. Lucky I got my code today.

    • Watch out for best by date with coffee pods - picked up some yesterday but expire next month. (Bought $24.90 of pods with $25 voucher.)

As I know the Lavazza pods I bought have 18 months on shelf before best by date & quality slowly declines, I was not happy being sold about 17 month old coffee. Rang store & they said there was nothing wrong with that & have a nice day😠

      • Yeah I was worried about that too but I got some last voucher and they were all good, new stock as they had a current competition advertised on it. Expires mid 2017.

        • +1

Previous pods were fresh stock, expiring 2018, but yesterday I failed to check before accepting. Will return, but it's a hassle for my free coffee fix😯
Haven't paid for coffee pods in nearly 18 months.

  • Purchased & now awaiting cancellation! Come on The Good Guys!

  • -1

It is $14 delivered as I dont see a way to pick it up. Cant be bothered to go to store for this. Printers/scanner these days stop scanning it there is no ink. I would say wait for a $25-30 Laser printer deal here.

  • +2

Not available in South Australia for instore pick up. Delivery to our hamlet 100k north of adelaide quoted at $250.00

    Good Guys indeed…..

  • $10 extra for delivery for me. hell, why not get one for $14? Ordered, I'm in. Thanks

  • Honest question- what do you all need a printer for?

    • Kids!!!

    • +2

    • Ask north korea

    • Printing?

    • It has scanning function too!!!

    • Its got two sided printing… I cant be bothered always flipping the page after printing only odd numbers…

    • Open Officeworks

cheap ink. usually $6-8 for a set from ebay, delivered.

    • +3

      Doorstop.

      • Lol best answer so far

    • I just struggle to think what people need to print these days, with everything being digital. I get the convenience of being able to print a photo at home though. Regarding scanning; phones have document scanning apps with exceptional quality. Anyway, cheers for the responses!

  • Website is so slow now…everybody is getting this…kwkwkwkw….don't be greedy guys!! don't get 10 printers…1 is enough… :)

    • won't let me pick up !!!

  • +4

It reminds me of the $1 iPhone 6s that officeworks did last Christmas. That was Festivus Miracle for some of us.

    • Really!? Did your order went through and delivered?

      • +1

        Yes. I got two.

        • +1

Wow, it sure is a miracle. $2 for 2 iPhone 6s. Which seller was it?
