      Congrats, that and the 70 inch are then only prices I REALLY wanted :P I still have a very tiny shot at the 70 inch I suppose. What order number? Just interesting to see how many prices they've given out etc (especially if a second person posts with having picked up that tv as well).

        Fyi order numbers are now at the #1300's, and based off yesterday my best guess is order numbers started around #1000.

        So I reckon at least 300 prizes at this point, the vast majority being the gift cards of course.

      Turn off Ad block. There should be an Amex or other banner under the grid view of items. That banner is then replaced with the sale banner at a specified time.

        You need to understand that larger valued items are extremely limited in stock, maybe 1-4 in stock at most. The only reason they had 8-9 PS4's is because they had plenty of stock, that's also the reason why they'll be giving more out later today and also due to the ad not appearing for most people

          What does that have to do with "conditions not met" message? It's still not clear what it means. Even if we are the first to click, do we get that message for some specific reason? Or is it just that some "almost" clicks are disregarded and thrown away and gives a different message than the normal sold out one, ie you might get it if close to winning. If it's the latter, that's fine I guess. If it's the former, I want to know WHY so I can fix it before wasting more time. Doesn't really depend on stock levels.

      yep, this has nothing to do with it, I got the message last night on the webjet voucher, pressed the same checkout button again and it went through and I got the voucher. Not sure what the cause of the message is, but this isn't it.

        That's weird. So maybe it's just a random bug then since you were able to check out. A shame that it would be impossible to actually have time to close it and click again with anything except the vouchers (and maybe nutribullet).

          I saw that, it might not be a matter of fast anymore, i'm assuming it's a lottery now based on the conditions are not met message. From my new assumption they fixed it so if you are so one of the first 10 people to click, those conditions are met or perhaps even better, there is an inbuilt dice inside the html now and it will choose you based on a number, depends how non-lazy they were

          Nope, idea was poor, they were smarter than that, I did a quick search of keywords using that link and the idea was no good, unless you want to make a bot that searches keywords and hope that keyword is the correct one

    Re PS4:
    "Earlier this morning a number of subscribers complained they did not see the banner advertising the PlayStation 4 during the one hour window advertised (6am-7am). Click Frenzy has investigated and found that whilst the pop-up banner was visible to some and the items were sold, a significant portion of our audience did not see the banner. Click Frenzy apologises for this and we are re-running the sale on that item with new stock - see below for revised instructions. Note that those who did purchase the PlayStation 4 this morning will retain their item, but will not be eligible to participate in this afternoon's promotion. Any attempt to purchase by the same user will be cancelled and the stock reissued to be available for other users."

        Well I assume that as you have to make an account in order to complete a purchase that they will check this to see if the same account already has an order for a PS4 and if it does, reject the new order.

          Wait, does that mean if someone who has one already tries to purchase and then it falls through the next person will actually get it, can the cart system work that fast though?

          This sounds more like it goes through the system and they have to manually cancel it because the next line goes

        Depends how sophisticated their checking is? I assume they would need to identify "same user" and then check if the new user/buyer is on that list.

        How they identify a "user" is the key. Is it by email address, delivery address, IP address, Device ID, PayPal account or all of the above (or something I have not listed).

        If they could identify this at checkout stage, then maybe it could cancel it there and the next person that tries could get it…if they had to manually check each new order didn't match a "same user", then it might take a while…

          They're using https://apps.shopify.com/order-limits-minmaxify to set quantity limits.

          I can't see anything in the code that would limit it beyond the stock levels and one item per order.

          Shopify accounts are associated to an email, so it appears to simply be first in best dressed based on stock availability.

    Wrote a script last night that trawled the shopify xml files to get variant id's so you can jump straight to checkout, but they've closed that loophole since then. Too bad I never got a chance to use it =(
