  • Is it just to Dallas?

    • That's all I had time to check for now, possibly others but would have to check further.

  • +1

Similar absurdly low prices to SFO.

  • +1

Dallas in direct retaliation against Qantas's direct flights no doubt.

Bearable price for Delta I guess…try and get on a Virgin codeshare if possible.

    • +1

Virgin America flies LAX-DFW and DAL (more likely to land here) so I'd assume you'd be put on one of their flights (1 million percent better than Delta), they have live TV and wifi onboard, makes the coast-coast flights bearable, and they are happy to give you an exit row upon check in for free.

      • I agree with the Delta. Be careful as we have booked with VA then few months later dropped to Delta as they code share. Delta domestic legs are bad.

        • Tell me about it…on a recent hop BUF-JFK the roof started leaking Coca-Cola, then we plunged through a huge air pocket shortly after drink service. On the short legs I am usually not fazed but anything over 2hrs I'll forego status and miles accrual and fly SouthWest/JetBlue if VX doesn't service the route.

        • all US domestic stuff is bad ;)
seriously i'm yet to hear anyone really give any glowing recommendations for any domestic carrier in the US.

Virgin America seem to be the exception, but their coverage (at least from what i remember from 3 years ago) is pretty poor, only selected routes (they only fly in/out of 24 airports)

i've always flown Delta (due to velocity membership privileges) and the one thing that is quite good is that their "business" class is cheap - it's not amazing compared to any decent international business (or even as good as some of our AU domestic business class) but what you do get is full business class status points, for a significantly cheaper price than what you'd get back home :D (and for a 4-6hr cross-country flight it can be worth it!)

        • @jaybo: agreed. Virgin America is great but not much around. I use southwest as I've found they are great for that price and can quickly accumulate their points.

        • @BeRad:

i didn't mention it earlier but i've heard wonderful things about southwest, they just don't seem to partner with any major frequent flyer scheme so they don't often show up on the radar against the 'big boys' so to speak.

good to hear another positive review of them!

  • I've found some for Detroit too. Most likely available for many cities.

  • Are the prices only estimate? Because I see 811(deal says 799) for bne to dfw
