I don't think you can activate these unless you join a plan

I can't get one from there because you have to declare that you're not a robot. And I am. Damn!

  • Can someone please explain to me the point of porting your number every month? I don't get it.

New costomers get the cheapest price ever on any company(at least whats offered on the current market). For example, you can easily get optus $40 prepaid plan sim for $20(first month double data so 12gb and unlimited calls) which is only offered for new customers; to qualify for new customer you need to port your number to vodafone or telestra and then go back to optus. Just abusing the system or giving the thieves a hard lesson.

Ah, that makes sense. Should probably look into this but I'm not sure if I can be bothered doing that every month. Can't really afford to have my number in porting limbo for x hours.

        • That's a good reason to have a dual sim phone.

12 months worth of phone use for $12.

          It's a no brainer.

        • I do it every month. As long as you are going between carriers and not resellers on the same network, my ports are usually completed in around 20-30 minutes.

        • @Tasmaniac:

Any tips on who I should use for free port outs if I decide to give this path a go?
