  How is this blender different to the other identical looking $99 blenders on ebay? Are the blades smooth or serrated? I can't tell from the picture.

  Thank you for your enquiry. The blades are smooth. Please take a closer look on our website - there are close-up photos if you click "right" on the product page. With regards to identical looking $99 blenders, compare the wattage and size of the blender. Ours is 1500W and 2-litre jug. Also compare reputation, customer service and warranty.

  Reading productreview indicates that there is/was some trouble with the jug. Has this been rectified?

    Hi FiftyCal, what we have done over the years is to improve our Care Instructions http://www.spectablend.com.au/care-instructions/ and remind our customers how to care for their blenders and it's worked for us now selling so many blenders over the past few years. There will always be a select few who will use their blenders in a way we cannot imagine. It is very hard to control such situations. Like any review sites, there will be some who will voice their dissatisfactions. Have a look at our competitor's websites and you will find similar issues.

    The jugs are BPA-free plastic jugs so we don't recommend the dishwasher.

      No option for extra BPA or glass or something so it's dishwasher safe?

        Hi Daniel, the BPA-free component makes it safer to use since plastic on its own is so bad. If it's glass, it's not good for the blender base that turns and works so hard at 35,000RPM and 1500W. This specific BPA-free material is durable for the driver socket / blender base at such a high power. The blender is very easy to clean, just blend some dishwashing liquid for a few seconds and it should clean the blender out.

  Just what I was looking for. I had an Oster in the States I got for $30 USD..It had so many modes and pulse option.
  This is the first blender in Aus that matches the things I wanted and this is so high powered!
