OPPO R9 $50 a Month for 24 Months + $300 Woolworths e-Gift Cards @ Woolworths Mobile

240

This is the best deal i see recently.

On the $50 plan you will get unlimited local calls and texts, 4GB data and 150 international calls.

When you reach your data and international calls allowance, they will cut off your data usage , so there is no bill shock.

Now they throw off a $300 woolworths e-gift cards for everyone, so that's worked out $37.50 a month for a 24 months plan.

Remember, OPPO R9 is a high specs phone, with 4GB Ram and 64GB storage and cost more than $600 at JB HIFI.

Plus, woolworths mobile uses Telstra network.

Deal start tomorrow 16/11/16.

More information is also on woolworths catalogue which starts tomorrow.

I remember walking into a Woolworths the other day:
"Have you heard of the New Oppo Phone sir?"
"Do you mean the one with the Snapdragon 652?"
    "The what?"
"What chipset is it running? And wasn't there an update from Gorilla Glass 3 to 4?"
    "I'm not sure sir…."
"Ah, right, then yes, I've heard of it, more than you"

It was said with a chuckle and a grin, it wasn't QUITE as smart arsed as it looks in text, but I was a LITTLE irked.
If you're going to try and sell me something, at least know the basic specs.

    EDIT: Regardless, good deal!

Woolworth's employee don't get any product training because they sell so many fast moving consumer goods, technology isn't their thing.

    • +2

I didn't even know WW staff actively sold things like these… good on them for trying but could probably learn about the product first even if WW didn't train them.

    • Way to show that employee that was most likely just following instructions and drawing attention to the deal.

      • As someone who's been involved in marketing, woolworths knows better than that.

If you're trying to draw attention, you use less interactive marketing ploys.
        Handouts, flyers, branding, etc.
        Hell, even freebies.

You don't dress your staff in "Woolworths - OPPO" shirts, a different color than everybody else, and have them step in front of customers as they try to enter your store, and have 0 training or product knowledge.

Thats a "Salesman" who doesnt know what they're selling.

Hopefully they'll voice their lack of training and upper managment dont have their head up their own butt when they get advised, and provide some.

  • Jeez, that is a good deal. If i hadn't dropped my g3 and bought a xiaomi note 3.
nice find OP. a plus plus from me.

  • Oppo makes good quality photos. I personally prefer buying out the phone and join one of cheaper plans such as 23 bux 8gb data with Kogan prepaid. It's on Vodafone but it is faster than optus for me. Not too sure about 24 months as it's too long for a phone contract these days.

  • +1

I am sold. Was looking at buying this but with optus who can't give a damn about a long time customer.

EDIT: Nvm. 24 month contract ruins it for me. Too long.

    • +1

Look into the contract break prices.

      Sometimes it's still worth it.

    • works out to still be an attractive offering!

  • can we port a number through ordering online, might switch from Telstra

  • does it support dual 4G?

    • It does not

The current range of OPPO phones all operate under the 4G/2G dual sim dual standby.

  • The link in the post goes to a blank page. Should we expect it to show something by tomorrow?

  • god why isnt this have higher votes? ripper offer

  • What would be even better is if you can sell the Oppo R9 for $500 you could have a monthly mobile service for around $16 whereas the equivalent pre-paid service is $30 (3GB vs 4GB data).

  • how is the R9 plus deal for $10 (month)more?

  • MT6755+Mali T860=high specs? LOL

  • I like this deal how does this phone compared to redmi note pro 3?
