Hello All,
I am a newbie, with this first post in our page. I am also a big fan of Thinkpad laptops.
This morning I was noticed that Lenovo establishes a great deal for Thinkpad series, with T460p and T460 which are rarely discounted. In this time, T460s also has a great price too. More details can be seen on Lenovo website:

  • For Lenovo Thinkpad T460s, last month price is 1280, CPU is Intel Core i5-6200U Processor (3MB Cache, up to 2.80GHz), others are same, so CPU upgrade from 6200 to 6300, you need pay more $200…

    • You're right.
On the other hand, CPU is the UN-upgradable thing and $711 saving is still a great deal.

  • i know the t series is expensive, but for you can get laptops much cheaper than that for those specs

    • +2

Specs? Laptop is much more than just CPU + screen + amount of RAM and hard drive.

      • +2

        Totally agree with Scotty.
If Specs is the high priority then E series is the choice.

      • "Laptop is much more than CPU + …"
Please explain - obviously I need to be educated here.

        • He meant not just the usual specs blab but also to take into consideration:

Portability, durability, upgrade-ability, battery life etc.

        • +1

It's like saying "Porsche 911 is expensive, but you can get cars much cheaper than that for those horsepower".

ThinkPad T-series has magnesium rollcage and anti-spill system built into the chase, docking station support, great ThinkPad keyboard, etc.

        • @scotty:

          Thank you.
