  • just about to post the deal, great offer!

  • Can you combine it with Amex deal?

    • +1

No. goes through entertainment book's website, not David jones,

    • +2

Amex one is better though, but limited to the amount you've been offered. And if you have multiple offer, they stack.
Bought $150 gift card last week and got back $30 ($30 off $150) + $22.5 (15% end-of-year offer). And if you buy through DJ directly, add any small item for free shipping (their free shipping for $100 doesn't work for gift card, but does work if you add any other physical item).

      • Doesn't seem to work - I tried the free shipping workaround by adding a physical item (lip balm) and still wanting to charge $10 shipping even though my cart total was over $200.

edit: nm - had to go through to final payment page (after logging in) before it would deduct the $10 shipping fee when you add any physical item despite showing the charges.

  • Does David Jones still sell Apple products?

    Max $5000 per membership

    • +1

      No

    • No, died when Dicksmith did.

  • +2

Buy $200 direct in DJ with Amex, get credit $40 back, that's 20% off.

    • what if you need to buy something more than that? $1500 item for example?

      • Use mutiple amex's but max 5 gift cards per order.

    • how do you do this??

  • Can i buy entertainment book now to avail this?
    Also digital vs physical book
    Thank you

    • Yes

    • +3

Im a fan of the physical book, easier to browse around casually and swap vouchers if required.

    • Not sure if you're asking which one is better but I prefer the digital book personally. You can share it with family etc if they use the same login, also they update it with new offers all the time. With the physical book you're stuck with just those.

People often like the physical ones because you can sell vouchers you might not use or give them to friends etc but I prefer having the convenience of being able to take it with me everywhere. It's great opening up the app when you're visiting a place you don't often go to and just checking out deals by the closest distance.

      • Thank you

The digital book is waaaay better. Easier to search offers and no need to lug the heavy book around and remember to pull out coupons.

    • Digital much better. Best way to use it is to search for restaurants on the fly- you can search on a map, and filter for category (cafe etc). Don't need to remember the book, and you can share it with your partner. You will pay for the book after about 2 transactions.

      • Thank you all

  • Combining with TRS for 25% off my wife's XMAS present. Yes!

  • Got gift cards last year, funnily enough they "ran out" of online e gift cards at one point.

12.5% is nuts. Combine with 20% off toys would be awesome. Can these be used in-store or only online?

Nevermind: "David Jones eGift Cards can be used to purchase anything anytime in-store or online"

    Pretty cool

  • Was hoping to find the QC35's on David Jones, seems half their online store is missing items at the moment.

  • The limitation is that it is only $1000 maximum per 24 hours, meaning if you were to get a membership now you could at most only buy $2000 worth until the offer expires on Friday.

Since addicted to ozbargain, I'm too cheap to shop at DJ now.. Can't remember the last time I stepped inside one.. Maybe the last boxing day?

  • I just purchased 2 x 500$ voucher. It limits 1000$ spend per day, so have to log in and buy tmr.

    • what are you planning on buying?

      • Don't know, i just helped a friend to buy the voucher. They need 2000$ to buy may be some expensive laptop or bag. No idea :)

anyone purchasing the gc okay this arvo? ive been getting payment declined message

    • Same, let me know if this works

    • Same here. Payment declined and the page said to call bank. But bank said it's got nothing to do with them…

    • +1

Ent book have fraud / security checks. So if you:
      1. Previously bought DJ egiftxards on their website with a different card or
      2. Used the same credit card to purchase gift cards but on a differ t entertainment book login,
You'll get that message which blocks the purchase. You will have to call up ent book for them to manually process your purchase and they'll tell you to use one credit card per ent book login.

      Above info from personal experience.

  • FYI, anyone with AGL can sign up with AGL Rewards which is currently giving 10% off DJ's gift cards.
Also 5% off a few others including coles: http://tinypic.com/r/2iksba9/9

  • I really like this deal thanks OP, I have also signed up straight away. Hoping to make multiple purchases, But I have made several attempts to make the purchases but spits back out at me.
