  • Does this give any Australian results?

    • I think it is only for US and UK

  • What's the point if it doesn't give aus results

    alternative, works for a lot more phones.

    i have it for the 2D bar codes but supports 1D without any changes (a different app I tried needed 2 select why type of bar code I wanted to scan)

    2D = URL, Text, Contact Details, SMS, etc.
    1D = online product search e.g. google

  • From their support forums:

    Q. Hi! I love the idea of this application, and would have downloaded it without hesitation, except for the fact that I live in Australia and it seems there are some issues that need to be worked out for it to work here. I read the local reviews, and they were very positive about the possibilities of RedLaser, but very dissappointing that it's almost useless because it's not localised. Is a version planned that will be useful to those of us in other countries like Australia?

    A. Hi, we're working on ways to add price information in other countries to make RedLaser more useful in places like Australia, but we are certainly not there yet. When we add more pricing information, we will announce it on our blog (occipital.com/blog). Thanks!
