If so, when did you place your order and what ETA does it say?
I only ask because a couple of users on whirlpool have claimed they can track theirs. Mine still says invalid and I ordered on Friday noon.
Just checked mine and for the first time the order status didn't error.

Yes same here. They seem to have fixed it as of 50 minutes ago.

Quite astonishing considering the ETA was 26/7 from the confirmation email.

Yeah mine was supposed to be 26/07/2010 as well, now revised to 05/07/2010 according to the status page.

Strange. Mine is still at the Manufacturing build complete stage, yet the ETA for my 2711 says 1/6.
Also I got a call today from Dell, saying they will deliver it on the arvo of the 30th.
Guess that shows how reliable their tracking is. :P
Not very useful especially when you want a peace of mind…

So the prediction of the 5th of July 2010 was a little off.
I ordered mine a few hours ago and I still havent been able to check the status yet… then again I havent got the confirmation email yet either… only the acknowledgement one.
So glad I waited to purchase this monitor a few months ago. Best price I could get it for then was $919.

Apparently you can only track your order 48 hours after payment confirmation. That's what it said in my acknowledgment email.

I come from a 24" IPS panel, so image quality is good as I expected to be. I appreciate the extra surface area and 16:9 hasn't been to much a trouble in the past hour. The extra real estate certain makes up the ratio.

Strangely Dell called me yesterday to confirm delivery. They told me that it would be coming tomorrow (Wednesday) even though the website still says it will be coming in a week.

got mine today… but i cant get my 9400GT to output 2560*1440 without going down to 256colour….
anyone know whats wrong? is it the card, or am i missing something here.
using dual-link DVI atm. no second monitor. yet it only allows me to go up to 1920*1200 at 16million colour.
Edit: two things.
1. i was using a generic nvidia driver for the gigabyte card. the full res option came up when i installed the manufacturer driver.
2. at this res, the card wouldn't output a second monitor =( will need to find a second card for the 24inch.
Now, could anyone help me set up its colour management? I'm a bit confused as to how to display adobeRGB on it. I have set the monitor to adobeRGB mode, then i set the win7 colour management to adobeRGB for this device. is that it?

I'd give it another plus if I could. Can't believe Dell actually honored their error, especially now that the price has gone back up to $850.
I recieved mine at 3pm-ish, great service from Dell. I expected it to take up till the 27/7/10 (orignal eta), so getting it today when I ordered Friday afternoon is great.
The monitor is great, the stand is excellent quality (and ofcourse the monitor is too). I'm definitely tempted to take of the AG coating.
I love it just set mine up but I am already use to it as the 30" HP is the same looking screen just not as nice looking so the AG doesnt worry me. I wouldnt remove it personally not worth tossing a 3 year warranty for something you will most likely get use to in a month or so.
Fair point about the warranty, but getting 3 years of what's arguabley a better experience could be worth the risk. Quality is one of the main reasons why people want these screens :)
how hard is the process? i've read about ppl doing their small portable screens but not 27inch monsters.
and wouldn't you have to recalibrate the colour after?

My Tax invoice got emailed today and it stated 1/07/2010.

Mines the 29th but either way I was going to show them the email I got from Dell showing Order paid and acknowledged on the 26th. The goods got paid for in full on that day and that contact was done on that day so I doubt any tax agent would say you cannot submit that as the invoice.

Mine is going back to Dell for an exchange. The problem is a subtle but visible colour gradient down the vertical axis of the screen. It has a red tinge towards the top, and green towards the bottom.
Replacement should arrive in about 5-10days.
I also noticed on the back, that i got a Rev A00 unit. What did you guys get? Any similar problems?
You getting a new one as the replacement or a refurb? I'm looking at another two weeks to even get mine and I was slatted for an original delivery date of 6/07/10 (yesterday)
I asked if i could get a newer revision monitor, he said it'll be a new one, but no guarantee to the revision.

There is no restrictions on that code, people have been using it on OCAU and Whirlpool with no issues.
