  • Any reason why I wouldn't take the Tropic Max instead of the Tropic Data for the same price but with different data allowance…?

    • I brought this up with live support too..LOL..She suggested to take the 12GB. Probably typo..:-)

To be totally honest guys we just wanted to get in the whole OzBargain 10th Birthday spirit by making all outbound SIM Cards $10, we would thoroughly suggest to go for the 12GB option (unless of course you don't like the number 12, than we would suggest the 5GB SIM Card)

1GB a day sounds perfect for my 12 day wedding stay! Thanks! ;)

  • When do the sim cards expire? Looking at going to Thailand in June next year.

    Thanks

    • Hey, The sim we send you wont expire until October next year, you are good to go!

  • Bought 2x sims @ $15 last week instead of $10 today. OzB Fail

  • hi,

going to NZ in Feb and Bali&Bangkok in May.

if i buy all three now, i can still use them in that time period?

    thanks.
    bryan

    • Hi Bryan, You sure can mate. Go for it! Sounds like an awesome holiday!

      • Hi

        Arent they all preactivated?
Does it mean all credit will expire in 30days time after purchase?

Or is that 30days after i arrive there and insert the sim??

        And one more thing.
Indoenesia sim is only a data sim? No call & data sim for bali?

        Thanks
        Bryan

        • Hi,

Only the NZ sim is not activated.

Yes the sims will activate once they are picked up on the network. Credit will expire after 30 days (7days for Thailand) once 'detected'.

Indonesia sim comes with 50,000 IRP (about 5AUD) which can be spent on calls/text as you please.

          Hope this helps, Thanks!

        • @Find My Plan: great!!!
          Thanks. Will buy all three!!
Thailand might need two sims. Still thinking. LoL

          Great bargain!

        • @bryan1217:Thanks mate, appreciate your purchase :)

  • Damn! Paid full price for one on Sunday. :(

  • Read this thread and post this comment from Bali! Got the 12GB sim through the hotel for roughly $15 so for $10, it's a real bargain

  • Any offer/special deal on sims in Japan? Need 2 and have them delivered to Sydney before departure on 29 Nov!

    • Not yet sir, next year we will.

  • How long would we have to use bali sim? Im not going back until april

    • You can purchase now at this price and we will send you a sim and extend expiry for your departure date. Make sure you put down the correct departure date on our website when purchasing and we will handle the rest. Thanks.

      • thanks so i put the date down in the notes section?

        • rep can you answer this please? I can't see anywhere else to put departure date other than in notes?

  • Hi, what are the local rates like for Bali/Indonesia? Don't need detailed rates, just an indication of what 50,000 RP equates to in local calls/texts.

    Thanks

    • +1

Approximately 50,000 IRP would translate into 200 texts and 100 minutes calls (50minutes international using 01017 dial code). Hope this helps!

      • Thanks for the quick reply. What's the process for topping up call/text credit if it runs out?

        • +1

Go to any 7/11 and get a recharge, they will do it for you. There is no online/app to recharge its all manual haha. It could probably work out better to buy 2 sims and get free shipping from us if you think you will run out ;)

        • @Find My Plan:

Sorry to keep hassling you but the wording isn't clear to me. Could you please also clarify if this is 12Gb data plus 50,000 IRP credit or the two are combined?

        • +1

@OzBragain: No problem at all, if you need to recharge while you are in Bali, go to a 7/11 convenience store and purchase a recharge. It is 12GB + 50,000 IRP Correct. The data is seperate to the 50,000 credit. Does this answer your questions?

        • @Find My Plan:

          All good. Thanks very much

  • Hi, I just bought a SIM for Bali but we have not confirmed the exact date of our holiday yet (it should be around or maximum a few days after the date I put on the website). Is this alright? Thanks.

    • +1

      Yes thats totally fine :)

  • Hi Op, we are going to Bali in late April but we are off to another country in late March first? Do we get the SIM Card now and the expiry date last that long?

    • Expiry wont last that long, however we will do a 1$ top up on the sim for you to extend the expiry for an additional 90 days. Just make sure you put down your arrival date in Indonesia when you order correctly as this is how we track it and know to do a top up. Thanks!

  • Hi, can Thai SIM activation be delayed until July 2017?

Also if outside 4G data coverage for Indo and Thai, can data be used when falling back to 3G coverage? As far as I know, Telkomsel usually assigns 2GB of 3G data + 10GB BONUS that can only be used in 4G coverage for SIMs purchased in Indo. Cheers.

    • Yes The expiry isnt until October 2017 on Thai sims so you will be fine, even if you were to go after expiry we would make sure you have a valid sim.

As for Indo the data will be able to be used on all bands 2G/3G/4G.

      Thai sim is the same.

      Hope this helps !

  • Received two sims for Thailand, blew our Telco's roaming rates out of the water!

  • Do the sims get sent out close to your departure date? I ordered some Monday last week and still haven't received them, just wondering what the process is? Thanks.

    • I ordered Monday and got them today.

      • Hrm ok. Bit concerning

        • Came in the mail today

  • I guess it is normal to arrive with the seal broken?
And the 0812… number on the front is the actual service number?

    Website says:

To purchase the correct SIM Package please dial *363# and follow the prompts. (further details provided by FindMyPlan in welcome pack)

What welcome pack? I got no info with mine, just a 'thanks' card without any contact details.
Do I need to dial that number to activate the data package?

And how do we check our balance while in Indo?

  • In Bali now, both my sims don't work. Waste of time and very frustrated. Don't bother with this next time, I got ripped off before even stepping foot in Indonesia.

    • Anyone else used them? I tried to contact seller.
"24/7 support number" is off and no voicemail. Could be time for paypal or creditcard chargeback.

    • Hello? news? I see you are still logging in, but PM disabled.

        1jwoz and manic,

We were delivered a batch of Indonesian SIM Cards recently that had a pre-set expiry for the sim card dated earlier than what we understood it should be. This means that all credit & Data was wiped from every sim card from our most recent Indonesia stock purchase.

It was not until customers (like yourself) actually alerted us of this that we realised the issue. This meant that for customers who recently purchased and travelled to Bali/Indonesia we had to refund and were not able to provide the level of customer experience that we really do love giving.

We have already emailed all our customers travelling to Bali/ within the next 2 weeks that we are issuing them a refund and where they can purchase a similar SIM pack.

If you have not received this email it is because we are working around the clock to source out new Indonesian Sim cards, test them and have them shipped out to you Free of charge within the next 2 weeks to ensure we can keep you connected like a local when you travel to Indonesia.

        To repeat;

This is only one batch of sim cards from our Indonesian stock, all other country specific SIM Cards are working perfectly.

Please do not hesitate to email us at "[email protected]" if you have any questions or suggestions for us.

Every bit of feedback helps us grow FindMyPlan to better the experience for you as our travellers and in turn has us growing together.

        Thanks a heap,

        Cameron
