  A few things to note:

  1) this has a fan in it so there is noticeable noise. I bought it as a phone stand for overnight and it is unusable if you are trying to sleep.

  2) the led is pretty bright and can't be turned off.

  So, don't buy it if you are planning on putting it on bedside table for overnight charging. Otherwise, it works fine.

    I have this bed side table with inbuilt wireless charging: http://m.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/spr/79133686/

    It works great even if it's the standard (not fast) charger. Overnight it doesn't particularly matter how fast it charges and it has a USB port too for faster charging. Power cable runs through one of the legs of the stand so it looks neat too. I have a 5 port Blitzwolf charger in there as well and I charge a multitude of devices. No noise/whine either.

        There's a second new one on their website which is a lot more expensive and looks pretty damn similar (http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/S19133670/). I'm impressed with mine for the price, and although I only use it on my Lumia 930, it has been tested with an S7 Edge (yay for standards). There are also some desktop LED lamps with the Qi charging base.

        I've run my Blitzwolf 5 port charger through the leg too which then runs behind the bed, so it's visually neat and I can keep my tablet charging inside the stand and the phone on top without any mess.

    Another comment if you're using it as a night dock, it won't fast charge if you have Screen Saver (what used to be called Daydream) turned on, e.g. running Timely or something.

    Also, I actually managed to buy this from eBay for around $40. Not sure if it was a pricing error or something, but it's now back to ~$50. But there's supposed to be a 10% off entire eBay sale coming soon…:

        @zzyss: bought the fast charger stand model combo (+cable and adaptive faster charger , don't know how to check authenticity of both of them), it had blue LED, an audible fan inside turns on only on fast charge, it does fast charge the phone as well, both portrait and landscape.

        @zzyss: how have you been going using it? Any issues? I've noticed my phone gets warm. Gsamm battery says 37 degrees when normal non fast charging.

        It does get warm, but I thought that's normal for fast charging, and why it had the but in fan…

        It also does charge quickly.

        Realised that I used a voucher to buy it so I won't get anything back even if i did claim a refund. Oops. Oh well.

    Did you get yours from amazon or ebay?I read on a s7 forum that most of the ones from ebay were fakes.The most telltale sign seems to be the loud fan.The ones from amazon and mobilezap seem to be genuine.

      It isn't the level of volume but the fact is there there is a fan and you can hear it. If you can ignore it or if background noise drowns it out, that's fine. Just that I was caught unaware (never expected a fan in a charger) so I thought it would be good to pass on.

    Yikes. That's some serious cons with this thing.

    I have the flat model that isn't fast charge and it's great. The LED I just cover with a sheet of paper, which you can do since it's flat.

    You must have very sensitive hearing or live in far north because I have this one on my bed side and never have any issues with the fan. It rarely turns on when used. The only issue I have is sometime this bloody thing just go over the charging on/off loop forever, especially if you use a case for it. Occasionally waking up to find battery down to 15%. So every time I put the phone in I have to make sure the charging light is solid blue. Should have bought the flat one

  I have two of these bought from the TGG with multiple $25 vouchers, I use both next to our bed for night charging.

  We have had no dramas with them. A couple of times I have not sat the phone down properly and had a flat phone in the morning but that was my fault not the stands.

  I can't hear any fan noise and have held them up to my ear.

  If you are night charging fast charge may not be needed anyway as your phone will be there for 8ish hours. I might get the ikea night stand and move these to places in the house where fast charge would add value i.e the kitchen.
