Found a couple of deals in the Tmart Black Friday Sale.

The XTAR VC4 has a lot of good reviews and features a LCD screen that displays charging current, battery voltage and charging capacity etc. It has four universal charging slots for different batteries and is great for charging your massive eneloop collection ;)

Free shipping is included and AU$ conversion is based on exchange rate at time of posting.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2016

  • 1000LM is questionable, like usual lol

    • 1000 Chumens ~ <100 Lumens

  • How does this compare to the Nitecore Digicharger D4 (or any other ~$20 charger?)

    • +2

I opted for it since the Feedback was good in the previous deals and it has the screen.

    • +2

This one is able to charge from 0 Volts.

It is good for reviving some old dead batteries that are non-LSD.

Otherwise you can pair Nitecore with a dumb charger for the first few minutes. Same effect.

I happen to own both models you are talking about. They are fairly similar. This one is powered off USB power while the nitecore is mains powered. The biggest difference to me is the charging of AAA's. VC4 holds AAAs nicely, the nitecore often needs them lifted or wriggled to get the contacts to get a connection. So VC4 runs off a power bank if needed or from a car to usb jack and charges AAAs easier.

      • Hey does nitecore charge faster? My xtat charges slowly but reliably so I'm pretty happy so far

    • I've got this and bought it to replace a Nitecore i4 that stopped working in 2 of the 4 bays after only 6 months. The only complaints I have are that it can't test cells like the Opus chargers, and can't act as a powerbank like the vc2, but then again it's only $25 and can do all my cells from 16340's to protected 26650's and all my eneloops in between.

I just bought the IKEA Ladda charger (and the batteries) but would have grabbed this instead maybe.

  • Great charger, bought mine one month ago and absolutely love it.
Will handle virtually any battery (Exception is Li-Fe).
Screen is much nicer than the Nitecore Digicharger D4.
Also this one allows you to turn the screen off/on by long pressing the button.

  • How do we buy 18650 batteries anymore? nobody will ship

    • Vaping stores sell them for around 10-13 bucks each.

Wait so you mean we can't buy batteries from Gearbest or Banggood and ask them to ship over here to Australia?

      • new zealand, but no, unless your pay $18usd for dhl or something

  • There seem to be 3 versions of the same VC4 charger on this site selling at $33, $22 and $20. Any idea why the difference in pricing? Are they different models? Does the $33 version have additional or different functionality?

  • code BFR is expired

    • +1

      Seems to be working now.

      • Thank you. I was able to purchase with the BRF code. Sweet deal!
