        • +2

That's a bit too swiftly. But I had a good chuckle.

  • +1

the wireless version of this mouse is amazing.

  • +3

It is NOT a pricing error, part of their 3 day sale

    • Thanks for the heads up, will update the post accordingly.

  • It expires tomorrow so get in quick

Mouse is universally accepted as among the best performing.

    • +15

Oh OK everyone universally accepted that a month after it was released did they?

      • He must have gotten it confused for the 502

        • +1

They have the same sensor. Hence best performing.

        • +2

The best thing about the 502 is that it's so heavy you don't need a gym membership cause you're working out while using it

    • +4

      The cats disagree.

  • +9

    mx518 forever

    • +2

love that mice so much….but the sensor…..they seriously need make verison 2 of it

      • They did make the g400 and g400s which are the same bodies. Then they decided to mix it up and made the g402/g502

      • They made two versions, the original MX518 had a 1600 DPI sensor and 5 mouse feet.

The later version has 1800 DPI and 3 mouse feet.

      • Anyone know how the G403 shape compares to the MX518 / G400s shape? I've used the whole series of similar shape and a bit worried this will be too different.

Not sure whether to get a G403 or try and find a G402 which looks somewhat similar to G400s

        • Just a warning to anyone that sees this, the G403 shape is extremely different to the traditional G400s/MX518 etc shape, and has no lip on the right side whatsoever making it difficult to pick up (people that use the mouse like this will know what I mean).

    • +1

Not sure why someone voted you down, but I used my MX518 to +1.

      • +1

        Yeah… who the hell downvotes MX518 ?!?

    • I'm still waiting for my G5 to shit itself. Still going strong!

    • I am still using two of them at home. Waiting for them to die so I have excuse to buy new mice, but they just won't die.

    • +1

I'm still happy with my MX500. :) Had one or two repairs but still going strong.

      • Same here, 14 years and still going strong, it has outlived every other IT product I've ever owned.

I also have an MX518 ready to go to replace the MX500 if it should ever die.

  • cant check out thru phone.
    but succeeded with desktop.

gonna use it to compare my current zowie za12. thnaks for the find.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogzOpkM_ouo decent review by Australian player/reviewer !!

  • +3

why dont they just bring back the g9x? :(

no need for any new design, when they already had it perfect.

    • +1

      Love the g9x.

      • By the way … I use the G9X naked with a claw grip! It is amazing.

  • +2

Ahh us poor left handers are being stripped of a bargain :(

  • +1
    • Well that Overwatch DA is $17 more. DA is very good, but honestly, mice are so subjective. The hardware will be equal, and what it all comes down to is your personal preference in terms of aesthetics and more importantly: ergonomics. Sadly, no one can optimally decide that for you.

      • Normal DA can be had for $64 at MSY.
I'm prolly gonna pick up one of these today though. Looks good…

      • Yeah that is true. But some mice are just better (consensus) than others.
        Thanks anyways.

  • If you're not a gamer is there anything to see here?

    • +2

Extremely responsive sensor and economic design

      • +8

        Ergonomic perhaps…

        • +5

No he mean't economic as in you can invest some money in it now and eventually in about 5 years, the stock market will rise and you'll make a profit.

  • +4

    Also wanted to point out…

Logitech MX Anywhere 2 is $59 at the moment, which seems like a decent price (close to the cheapest price on ozbargain).

    If you prefer blutooth.

  • +1

JB also have the g502 for $79 , which isn't the cheapest it's ever been - but probably one of the better prices atm

    • +1

I just got it delivered from Amazon for $66 and I don't even have one of the fancy fee free credit cards.

  • Wish the wireless version was discounted as well…

  • They also have the g502 RGB for 79$, which one better folks ?
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/games-consoles/platforms/gaming-mo…

    Edit: beaten

    • I needed to replace my g9 which was great..alot of reviews on the g502-alot of positive reviews. I like being able to change the mouse weight so the g502 for me

  • I've been looking for a replacement for my G5. Is this going to be similar?

    • I also have a G5 and this looks very similar and seems to be getting good reviews, but some reviews say it is too basic a design for the price, but then say it is a high performance mouse. At this price might pick one up and try it out.

  • Someone bought 5 of these and brodened the whole store @ ryde. I'm guessing it was an esport athlete /s

    • +1

      LOL.. "Athlete".

Those guys are sponsored anyway. They get their stuff for free, and get paid to use it. They can't just go and buy whatever product they want. They have to use the sponsor's product, and if it happens to be Logitech, then they will get these for free.

This broden likely wanted to resell them. Or just gets angry while gaming and breaks things. A lot.

      • I wish I was sponsored by them, read my name backwards ;)

  • +1

Picked one up thanks! Great mouse!

FYI there were two mouse sections at JB, one for general computers and one for gaming. It's in the gaming section.

    • yeah got one too…noice

  • My order has just been confirmed. And also op change the msrp it is 69 dollars.

  • Any reason why I should upgrade from a G303?

    • +1

no reason unless g303 shape doesn't suit you. I have that mouse and it really is a case of you either loving or hating it. I love mine, same sensor as this. That being said if you like experimenting this is a decent pick up for the price, the new logitech mice have been great.
      Read my name backwards ;)

      • If anything I would've thought that the g303 shape was more experimental than the safer shape on the g403.

        • I mean if he was already happy with the g303 and wanted to try something else for fun, g403 is great as well.

        • @hcetigol: gotcha

      • Thanks for that. I did think the G303 was a tad small in my hands but have since adapted to it. Being a crawl gripper, a bigger mouse would feel nicer.

  • Not sure why nobody has mentioned this before but this mouse has (imo) a huge annoyance where the scroll wheel rattles from side to side because it isn't secured properly. So whenever you flick your mouse your scroll wheel just hits the side of the mouse and it's awfully annoying it just ruins the experience of using the mouse but the functionality is still there.
Also Logitech has announced that the scroll wheel issue isn't a defect and you won't be able to RMA it.
The good thing is they have fixed it in later batches and so you just have to hope you get a more recent batch.
I had no luck with my scroll wheel; annoying as rattle (purchased on the 10/11/16)

Great mouse otherwise and good luck to those buying it.

    • Bought mine today and it has no rattle whatsoever. Solid build. As mentioned, the earliest release of this model had this rattle problem like the G502 but has apparently been fixed so guess there's a bit of risk that you may get a rattly one…

      • Such a shame that the highly anticipated g403 even had this sort of issue at launch. I wish mines didn't have the rattle :(

  • I should really upgrade my Acer mouse even though I don't really need to replace it….. Curse you to the seven circles of heck OZB for making me spend money on something that I don't necessarily need but wanting to upgrade anyway.

When I'm broke and homeless from all my spending, I'm going to approach Scotty and ask if i can sleep on his couch!

  • +2

Wow i lucked out hard… they sent me the wireless version lol made my day =)

    • I just picked mine up and it was the wireless version as well, I'm stoked

      • maybe they ran out of stock of the wired ones and CBF waiting for more stock so gave us wireless instead? haha =)

        • Noone else has commented saying the same so maybe we just got lucky
haha I had bought it for a present, but it's mine now.

    • As a shareholder I'm disgusted. As a consumer I'd be delighted. ;)
