Bosch (Green) 18V 2 x 1.5Ah Cordless Drill/Impact Driver/Torch/Tool Bag Combo $199 @ Bunnings Warehouse

150

Great deal on a good set of tools. Similar to the deal which was posted earlier this year https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/239646 except this includes the torch and tool bag for the same price.

Green Bosch are pretty ordinary but better then Ryobis on any given day. Go for Bosch blue instead if you need it working for a few years.
    thumbs up anyway.

LOL - that comment is sure to upset the Ozbargain Ryobi fanbois.

They're just made and fit for intended purpose. One them happen to be your consumer that uses it once a week. Anything more than that, you need to look at something semi-descent.

        • That's it, I rather the peace of mind in knowing that when I pick up a power tool, it will just work and be more intuitive and user friendly to boot, be it days, weeks, months or years later!

Bosch Blue is superior to their green line and actually worthy of spending a bit more.

    • It is. It is indeed.
But for some, the Green is fine as is ryobi or even Ozito.
I have ryobi, occasional to average use. Plus wide range of different skins and tools. That's the bonus. Plus no quibble Bunnings warranty.
Friends have Ozito, light to occasional use. I think these are great, 3 year warranty too. My Dad, recently bought ozito 18v, retired cabinet maker, in his 70s, the cost was pensioner priced, its light weight for an older guy, and warranty to last.
Makita isn't what it used to be. Repair not replacement warranty, plus higher priced.
Dewalt, isn't the brand it used to be.
Bosch green is definitely a cheaper alternative and may be better than ryobi, without the range of tools/skins available.

      • Both blue and green have a larger range than what Bunnings chooses to stock…

        • You wouldn't want any of the competitors to appear to be as good as your house brands, now would you?

Picked this up yesterday morning. Still around 12 left near counter at Mile End SA at that time.

Pretty happy with the impact driver performance during colorbond roofing application but batteries seem to significantly under perform the advertised spec of 300 screws per charge. I probably got 40 into treated pine (mostly new) on a charge. Might need a 5Ah battery top go with this.

    Haven't used the drill yet.

  • Got these yesterday and built a bunch of IKEA stuff, used both the drill and impact driver excellent. Torch is very bright. Bag is big
    Would recommend!

  • Picked this up today, Coburg Vic.
