    I don't know what a NAS is but can I use this for my PC for everyday storage?

      Yep, will be fine for "archiving". Performance might hurt if you are, say, working with large image files in some photo software.

          I just connected the NBN last week and my downloads have gone through the roof so my HD is filling up very quickly :D

          I can't seem to the find the RPM spec for this HD? Is it 5400rpm or 7200????

    Picked up mine this morning, mine had NASware 3, not NASware2 as some were concerned with, model WD40EFRX. The sales guy was surprised at how many orders there were, he said they were down 60 units, so I'm guessing that means 60 units are on back order.

    So, hopefully know more on the 8th.

      Wowzers that's a lot of hard drives! I wonder if PLE will be able to honor the orders.

      I paid via PayPal so if worst comes to worst I can at least file a dispute.

    Just received the two of these that I ordered on Sunday. Very happy with the price and shipping time from WA to TAS!
    Both were running the newer NASware 3.0 firmware, going to be fantastic for my media server :)

        I got the date in an email, the SMS actually just says it's on backorder still.

    I got mine yesterday. Impressed that they packed the drive with heaps of bubble wrap. I've purchased drives from other stores and they only pack a couple of thin layers of bubble wrap. Great to see PLE actually care. These guys get a thumbs up from me!
