Nifty (if gimmicky) little phone, down from it's ludicrous original price, and $10 cheaper than last time it was posted.

Specs directly from the web page:

  • GPU Adreno 330
  • 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM
  • 8 MP Back Camera + 2.1 MP Front Camera
  • Android 4.4 System
  • Support NFC, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS + GLONASS etc.
  • One SIM: NANO SIM, Not Support TF Card
  • 2500mAh Battery, Support Quick Charge and Wireless Charging
  • Band: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz, FDD-LTE B1/B3, Support 2G & 3G & 4G LTE Network

Bit of a bugger about the lack of memory card support.

Would love to hear feedback from those that purchased it previously.

Cheaper at GearBest - currently $160.42 AU - a great price but NO.

Still a very good price, but $20 cheaper here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/YOTA-YotaPhone-2-YD206-Qualc…

    • Yes, but 2-5 Days Delivery vs 60 days on Aliexpress ?

  • These are actually pretty good for the $$ - like the OP said they were originally selling for a ridiculous amount

  • Pixel and 4.7 Inch Always-on E-ink Electronic Paper Back

Does this mean for reading it's similar to the kindle type e-readers ?

    • yep

  • Carry a charger of some sort if youre a heavy user. Under my usage id get about 4hrs if i didnt keep it on charge.
Nice UI but phone struggles occasionally.

Have had this phone for a few months - well worth the dollars. If you do not have to use the main screen such as calls and SMS than battery lasts days. Using the main screen does drain the battery.

  • Does Google Maps look OK on the e-ink screen? Wondering if it's good for navigation.

    • Not really. It's near impossible to see the comapass direction, and most text is kinda jaggy. You lose a lot of map detail and since it is black and white it's difficult to see the route planned.

      • Thanks! Just thinking if I can get away with not charging the phone while navigating.

  • Good custom ROM support? Anyone has experience?
