Can you do it for $400 instead?

Put the real price 1959$ and say 400 off.
Or else you will bring tears to my eyes, which widely opened hoping it was for 400$ (0-0)

well we dont want to ruin Christmas - thankyou for whoever amended :)

    • I don't think this laptop was available in 1959 to have an original price from.

      In Australia (and when used in English) and in fact most countries that use the dollar symbol "$" the symbol "$" actually goes first, in front of the dollar amount, example;

      $2

      $44

      $222

      $888

      $1,959

A comma also helps, when relevant.

  • This is a really nice machine and I certainly paid more than that for mine, with a smaller SSD. The only quibble I have is that it can run a fairly hot if you use it for a long time - several hours. I would be tempted to get another one, if this was the black and rose gold version.

    • HPs always seem to run hot unfortunately

      • My wife has one. Constant fan spinning. Even when idle.

My previous HPs all did the same.

Found a laptop with Core M. Performance hit for silence is worth it.

Interesting, mine only goes nuts if it has been on for a longtime or I've done something stupid like sit it directly on top of the blanket on my lap. HPs are a bit prone to overheating. In the past we have opened up my other machines, once outside warranty, and cleaned out wads of cat fur from them; they seem to run better after that - for a little while anyway. I did manage to completely cook my last Sony - the hard drive seriously crashed and burned. Fortunately it coughed fairly badly before going completely so I managed to back most of it up. Maybe I'm just a bad parent to computers.

        • @try2bhelpful:

I've pulled apart my HPs and found them clean inside. Still noisy fans.

I've also read on HP forums (and Toshiba's for that matter) that say it's a Microsoft/Windows problem. No surprise that on Microsoft/Windows forums they say it's an OEM problem.

Either way, all of my notebooks (Dell, Toshiba, HP) have had noisy fans. My current Toshiba with its Core M has no fans. Keeps very cool too. Less performance but silence is golden.

@sillywalks: Thanks for the update. I will keep that in mind when I get the next one. I don't really need a high performance machine, as I'm not a PC gamer.

        • @try2bhelpful:

Core M machines have better battery life too. That's another reason why I like them.

    Does this include a pen?

Pretty great price regardless - jealous of whoever snaps these up

  • I've got this machine and it's really nice EXCEPT the screen is weak as piss. My screen cracked when the laptop was closed. Not sure how as it was in my bag and had no weight put on it.

Search google for HP Spectre X360 cracked screen issue and you will see it's a very common problem.

I asked HP how much to fix the screen and the quote came out to $1400, discounted to around $800. I'm still using a cracked screen with the touch turned off because i don't want to fix it for that price with the likely chance it will crack again.

    Disappointed with this laptop.

    • wow thats pretty sucky. I just googled it and it seems pretty common.
