ARE YOU KIDDING? I JUST ORDERED.

    • Sorry mate! Cancel and reorder?

  • +2

    You've already used this product.

Pretty sure I have never used this. Meh

    • It works for me…

      • Were you existing customer? Maybe for new only?

        • I never use it before just download the app yesterday…

        • @pearl2013: The email address mine came from was "UberEATS Perth". Does that mean it's targeted at Perth customers? Anyone outside of Perth manage to get this working?

        • @shrodes:

          I am in SA

    • +1

      same here, wont work

  • can we stack it with referral code?

    probably not?

    • From past, you're actually able to. Just use referral to signup, go into main app -> Codes -> type both again and you should be able to see two coupons.

      • I weren't able to. I bought the $17.50 off first order from Groupon and added in this code. When I go to check how much I need to pay, it shows only the $10 off and not both stacked.

        • +1

this also caught me out. in the end it does use both codes, just doesnt show it at checkout

        • @shonofear:

Oh really. That's good to know because I know with Uber it didn't do that last time when we tried to stack two codes together.

Maybe worth saying <For new customers only> even though it's implied in the 'first' three orders.

    • Cheers! done.

    • If you're an existing customer, is it a case of screw you and your crappy Christmas?

Stopped buying after they started charging $5.00 delivery fee

    • +1

Are they supposed to just deliver for free?

      • Some restaurants a lot smaller than a billion dollar multinational don't charge for delivery.

    • +1

So - if they charge $5 delivery, does that mean that this deal basically gives you $5 off the price of your food?
If I ordered a burger from Meet & Bun which normally costs $14, used the code, would I pay $9 to get my burger ($14 for burger, -$10 for code = $4, plus $5 delivery = $9). Is this the way it works?

      • yep.

      • Meet & Bun actually charges $2 more for the burger in the app than in store. Made me not order this based on principle, especially when the booking fee started

        • WHAT?!?
          That's an outrage.
But - I guess with this deal you'd still get it $3 cheaper.
I do wonder how this type of service survives.
You might pay more for the food, you pay more for the delivery - certainly not a very Ozbargain thing.

        • @BigTed: not many places charge extra, but some do like to throw in an extra 50c, $1. thats why i thought that the 'delivery' costs would have been subsidised from the menu prices, until they brought out the BF!

Edit : instore price for reference : https://b.zmtcdn.com/data/menus/004/18356004/6badf2239b0906f…

I don't live within the UberEATS limits of Melbourne :(

    • +2

I don't either, but I ordered while I was seated in front of the State Library yesterday, and the driver still found me easily etc.

      • +3

Nice. From Nando's across the street? XD

        • Lmao no - it was from a place in Carlton or something

    • +1

Worth moving to get this voucher?

      • Nope. Can't get land+views like I've got in that area.

    FESTIVUS?

Time for a new SIM Card?

  • +1

Had a horrible experience with this app when I first tried it - couldn't get it to process an order using a whole bunch of different cards or paypal.

    • had the same problem with a few other people in the office, do you have an android phone? We got around it by using the desktop to order.

If anyone is wondering about EATS from the delivery person side of things, AMA :>

    • What's AMA?

      • +1

Ask Me Anything, your question makes a good example heh.

    • How much do you get paid per drop off?

      • +2

        It varies based on the trip, here's my last few: 11min, 5.9km, $9.96 / 24min, 7km, two drop-offs $5.50 each / 6min 2.2km $7.67
I only really work during guaranteed minimum rates though, $20 ~ 30 per hour because stuff sitting around out there and not getting any jobs.

        • Shame, no service in hills area? Postcode 2153?

        • -1

@electricbluee: Correct, but your closest service area is the nearer end of Mowbray Rd W if you really wanted to check it out. Maybe still worth for $10 off? I stayed at an apartment complex that I delivered to and used the pool while waiting for for my own first delivery because I live out of the zone also heh heh heh.

        • +1

@buttstuff: I pretended to be a janitor for an apartment complex that was across the road from my apartment complex, they were inside the delivery area and my building wasn't, and it didn't end so well.

  • what does it mean by first 3 orders? a total of up to $30 off?

  • If I buy something that's $5, would this effectively be Free if I use the voucher? eg $5 item plus $5 delivery = $10. Minus $10 coupon = zero. Is this correct?
