Xbox One Controllers - Elite $129, Controller with USB cable $49, Regular $59, Special Editions $69 + $9.95 P&H at OzSale

Fairly good prices for controllers that don't like to be heavily discounted often.

All the controllers aside from the regular black and the one with the cable have the 3.5mm headphone jack. It's not clear whether those two have it.

    these guys any good?

    • Ordered from them a few times, delivered quite fast and product was as described, so no issues.

I can't find the controller with Play & Charge kit. I see the controller with USB cable for $49 though.

    • Ooops, read it wrong. I'll update it now.

    • Isn't it the one that is selling for 85 bucks?
Anyway I always wanted the elite controller but I believe they don't have Bluetooth while the new ones have, can a happy elite controller owner give us a feedback? cheers.

      • Yeap elite does not have the bluetooth while the new ones have. A hindsight to be honest.

      • I own both the new XB1 controller and the elite one. IMO, you can't go wrong with the elite controller, considering this price. The overall build quality feels top-notch and makes the regular ones seem like they were made out of cardboard paper. When I play games like FIFA, I don't have to constantly worry about abusing the joysticks. They are more durable and feel more elastic. I personally like that it is heavier than the regular one. And the I don't use the triggers and couldn't care less about them. Bluetooth capability would have been a nice addition but that is not a dealbreaker for me. Latency sets in because I've got other devices connected to my computer's Bluetooth adapter.
I can say for certain that the elite controller would take a lot more abuse than the regular ones before keeling over.

        • My only criticism of the Elite is that my R button broke after about 9 months.

        • Thanks just posted a comment about Elite build quality and then I saw this.
Disappointed with both of my regular controllers where the analog sticks drift upwards.

        • @Verse: I have the same problem with one of my regular controllers. I don't treat them badly either. Maybe I've just had crummy luck.

Those who don't want to sign up before seeing things, This is how it looks in the page.
    Not much detail though. :-/

  • I already own 4 controllers (regular, Titanfall, CoD:AW and Elite) but I am ever so tempted to pick up the Halo controller.

Or do I wait for the Design Lab to come to Australia?

    Decisions, decisions.

Or you could try getting some skins instead. No?

      • Not a fan of the vinyl skins :-P

How does this differ from the one I got with my XBoneS? Is this wireless? Rechargeable? That one I have got with the bundle eats up battery really quickly. First set of batteries were done after 8 hrs of game play.
Anyway, The description is kinda confusing: "Enjoy the reliable wired connection to your PC and forget about replacing batteries. The Xbox One Controller + Cable for Windows can be used as wired or wireless on your Xbox One."

The Xbox One S controller is better.

You can use your S controller with any old USB cable (like the one you may use to charge your phone) and use the controller without any batteries (although you'll need to be close to a USB outlet).

Turning off the rumble feature may also extend the battery duration.

      • Thanks. So Controller with USB cable seems to be a bad purchase. It need to be connected to a USB Power to play. Hmm.

        • +1

No, it doesn't "need" to be connected to USB. It just gives you the option if your battery runs out or don't want to you your batteries for some reason.

But it's no different to your S controller (or any other Xbox One controller) - you can use it without batteries if you use the USB cable.

        • @GreenLego:
Thank you very much. Very happy :)

THhanks OP, just used one of the random referrals above - congrats to whoever got $20 :)

  • Tempted for the elite controller, but I haven't worn out my previous two day one editions yet.

  • Damn I just ordered the Controller with USB cable $49. What is the difference between that and Regular $59?

    • You saved $10 and got a USB cable as well.

      • Really? That doesn't sound sane. :-o So, the $59 controller is the same as $49 but, lacks a USB cable to connect to PC?

        • Yep. You got yourself a bargain.

          @silverrat23:
Damn. :D And it is out of stock now. Glad I purchased it in time. :) Cheers.

        • @Bavan: I just ordered it a couple of minutes ago and I looked at the page again and now it says sold out. Weird!

      • +1

$59 version is newer one with the 3.5mm port. The one with the USB cable doesn't have the 3.5mm port.

  • Thanks OP - just picked up an Elite and now need a Brook converter to use it on my PS4 as well :D

  • Can anyone comment on the build quality of the Elite controller?
I know about the extra features such as button mapping etc
But will my analogue stick still drift after a year of use?…

    • So after reading a few comments about standard controller analog sticks drifting up after a year's use, I'm assuming that manufacturer's warranty is only for 1 year with these controllers and you cannot claim that they should last a considerable amount longer based on the price against ACCC rights and essentially extending it past the 1 year warranty for a swap?

      • Haven't read about ACCC rights, but I wouldn't be surprised.
I went through Microsoft's warranty website which includes entering serial numbers and stuff.
Both controllers were not eligible for replacement or even discount servicing, instead they would direct me to buy a new one through the MS store..

        • That's a bummer. I guess its probably going to depend on the condition on the controller to determine how much usage (read:abuse) its been through and you would hope that MS/retailers can take into consideration of this before allowing swaps or refuse them. I play at most 2-3 hrs max each week and certainly dont drop/throw around my controllers so they go through standard proper use and would feel peeved if they dont last more than a year for sure.

Not sure if this is true with all OzSale products - But I am currently waiting for an order that they had to wait for Stock to Arrive before posting. This was not mentioned anywhere on the site and hence shipping times are quite length. My orders estimated delivery time is ~4 weeks

    • +1

      You might be correct.
This is what I received in email. It looks as it will take more than 4 weeks. lol :D

Did anyone receive their controllers from this sale yet? Ordered a surface pen from a different section of this sale and got a refurbished pen. Were the controller refurbs also?
