Xbox One S 500GB Bundles (Minecraft, FIFA 17 or Halo) - $299 ($199 with AmEx Cashback + $1 Item) @ Harvey Norman

1710

Harvey Norman have dropped their price on the Minecraft and FIFA 17 bundles for the xbox one s 500gb console to $299 (note if you are shipping you prob don't have to add anything to get above $300, but if you're doing pickup you need to add something else to get to $300). Whilst not as low as Microsofts, targets or jbs with the amex cashback its a ridiculous $199! Also if you can get a price match works out cheaper but you will have to add something to get to $300.

No stock available for pickup in WA and NSW (credit: designate), but delivery available for $7.95.

Yeah the cashback isn't a generally available option to everybody …..especially if already spent.

  • +3

Hi OP, showing as $299 now, even better

    • Thanks! updated deal

  • I need to spend $300 to get cash back right?

    • Yeh if you add shipping on it, it should get to above $300, but if you're doing pickup you have to add something else.

      • +1

Can anyone confirm they've received the email for amex cashback if you purchase the xbox for $299 alone? Hesistant to purchase cos not sure if shipping cost will be included in the cashback offer. Would rather buy something cheap to reach $300 mark

        • +1

The same deal was available last week and multiple people at the time confirmed they were getting the cashback. Just need to make sure you choose card payment and not PayPal from memory.

        • @Smigit:
          Cheers

        • I can confirm shipping costs counts . I didn't receive email, but cash back on card next day

      Not everything is about you

        • +11

You don't have too..but that doesn't mean you give it a negative vote.

        • Go get an amex card you cheap skate

        • +2

Because this is a community. It may not be of your interest, but someone else might be waiting for a deal like this one.

    • Then why don't you get it where it's cheaper without using your AMEX card?

  • +1

No stock in WA or NSW stores =\

    • Buy it online and pay for shipping?

      • +2

Going overseas and thinking of claiming TRS ;)
Don't think delivery will arrive before xmas..

        • +1

hahah… I would do that too if I could!

        • +2

          @Qmar:

But you have to take it with you.

    • +2

If you pick the Halo ones, you can see that they are available at Broadway, DM North Ryde, Moore Park, Auburn, Bondi? I merely just typed in the 2000 postcode. They have the Halo Bundle for $299

      • Out of stock too

  • Does cashback apply for any Amex credit card? (provided I enrolled for it)

I don't have an Amex credit card and thinking of applying for one.

    Thanks

    • Once you have an amex account, you have to log on and save the offer to your card. Only then should you be buying this with your Amex card, otherwise you might not get the cashback

      • Thank you.

Does it work on "The American Express Essential Credit Card" ?

        • +2

Affirmative, I have one and get pretty much all offers

    • +2

the Harvey Norman cash back offer is not available anymore :(

    • +2

AMEX harvey norman offer reached max enrollments is my understanding

  • +1

The amex deal is over the offer has expired.

    • Not for me? Mine expires end of Dec

    • +3

still have amex promo but don't need an XBox as I have a PS4 FML

    • +3

I bought it just for the 4k blu ray player….. any other 4k blu ray player in the market is over $400! sorry I shouldn't be doing this to you :)

      • +2

Going to pass and hope another cracker AMEX deal comes up in next few days that I can use. Don't have any 4K blu-rays. I did have an Xbox one two years ago but sold it - just wasn't using it

        • Buying one as a 4k Blu Ray player is only a good idea if you intended on getting a 4k blu-ray player in the first place, and intend on buying 4k Blu-rays. For me the days of physical media are dying out. Next time I move house I won't have a box full of dusty old discs that I wish I'd never spent money on. And I'm glad PS4 pro doesn't support them so long as it reduces the cost in any way. Smart ozbargaining cyrax.
          P.S I got an Xbox One S last week…

        • @David Warners Mo:

Physical discs you can in sell and lend but

        • @T1OOO:
          That's true. I should sell my Blu-Rays

        • @David Warners Mo:

Just corruptible HHDs full of movies that you'll never watch because you 1-click purchased them when you were drinking one night?

      Buy and re-sell = profit.

      No it's not. US.

    • Couldn't find it. Link?

      • No link possible. It was mentioned in another post that was closed down. It is a US offer, and probably in USD.

        • Oh..Thanks. That kills it then!

        • @leTintin: yeh sorry id just woken up, but cmon… The way the price is dropping it felt possible didnt it.

      • As per barryquinn, I think it was a US store deal not for AUS, so they removed it from OzB

  • I'm still waiting for shipping information from last deal.

  • Any Amex card from Westpac, NAB….or it must be from Amex?

    • only if you saved the offer, which you can't anymore

    • You needed to enrol in the Amex HN cashback previously. That offer was open to any Amex I believe (I got it on an ANZ Amex), but as has been mentioned, enrollments are now closed.

If you are asking generally, some offers are only open to Amex-issued Amexs, and some offers are open to all/most Amexs.

  • +1

wouldn't it be $200 after cashback?

    • +1

Depends on how you get it.. if you get it shipped it works out to be $208… if you do pick up and get another item e.g. battery, it will be that plus the item's cost

  • Some one pls explain how the Amex thing works pls.

    • If you haven't already sign up for the Amex cashback offer, unfortunately its too late…. in the description you can find a link to the amex cashback offer that explains it

    • when you have an amex, they offer cashback deals through your account (amex direct) or amexconnect (Bank issued)
when the deals are released you need to save them to your card, and then meet the terms
this one was spend $300 at harvey norman, get a $100 credit, so by the time your credit card bill rolls around, you should only owe $200 as amex will chip in the other $100 a few days (but sometimes more) later.
if you want an amex card, you need to decide which one - you can go through your bank or straight to amex, there are some wikis on here for referral links. mostly will depend on how much you are willing to pay for annual fee vs. what benefits you want from the card, ie free insurances, points/reward scheme, free flights etc higher fee will generally mean higher benefits.

      • my brother has one, thats why i was asking, seams like i cant get this deal on it but..

        • yeah he would have had to register for the deal fairly quickly - once the set number of cards have been registered it wills disappear as an offer.

  • Can someone please confirm it works with the Australia Post issued AMEX?

    • Only if you registered for the offer. It's closed.

  • As this depends on an Amex statement credit to be a bargain, I think it should be listed under Amex not HN.

  • If someone has an over abundance of Christmas spirit, I'd be happy to take their burdening $100 off $300 AMEX. Many thanks and a Merry Christmas to all…. ;)

    • The spend has to be on the card which was registered for the promotion, so they would have to pay for your Xbox!?

      • +2

        An EXTREME over abundance?

  • +1

Oh lord, this is getting harder to resist every day!!!

    • +1

And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from the evil one.
      =)

      • +1

Seems like lord helped me with the 100% resistance, for I forgot to sign up for the AMEX deal….

    • +1

Thanks… Deal updated… that bundle is prob the best value compared to original RRP

    • That's what I've been waiting for, thanks just ordered one.

  • XB S 1TB should be around 399 so MS can move their xbox'es before Christmas and have a bumper result..

  • +2

Picked up the Halo bundle for $306.95 shipped. Got an AMEX confirmation via email pretty much straight away confirming that the $100 credit will be applied!!

  • Recently redeemed the Amex offer, but for another item. I wish can redeem the offer twice!

    • +3

Get supplementary cards that way you can sign up to Amex offers on each card and multiply your ozbargaining powers ;)

      • But the enrollment is now closed - so probably no point now, then?

        • correct. but there will be new offers in the future, so best to have supplementary cards ready to go.

  • Already have the original xbox one, and still have this amex offer, gahhhh, no use, amex offer might go to waste

    • You could always sell the original one. Can't imagine you'd be out of pocket all that much, if at all, and you'd have a sparkly new system to show for it.

  • +2

Got HN to price match the target $279 deal and added a few thing to bring up to $300 to get the amex $100 off.

    • Did you price match instore?

      • Live chat on HN website

  • I went for the Microsoft deal last Wednesday and I'm still waiting for the damn thing to arrive… In Sydney Metro. "Priority Shipping," my arse. What a stuffaround this was. Shout out to Toll IPEC for being crap.

    • I'm waiting on something long overdue from Toll too… Don't you love how their tracking details say 'Transfer In from DOCK', 'Transfer Out to CA40', 'Transfer Out to CA25' etc… Details that make no sense to humans.

      • Apparently the one that means it's in a van and on the way to your house, is: "Vehicle Loaded," or some other term that was totally foreign to me when I called customer service for the fourth time. I have it now… 6 days after it was supposed to arrive as a "Priority."

    • +1

TOLL are completely useless. Worst courier company around

  • -1

Already got 3 PS4 with the amex deal. So No xbox.

    • Thanks for sharing, no need for fanboyism. I have a PS4 Pro, doesn't mean this isn't a good deal.

      • +1

Didnt mean its not a good deal. Have exhausted my amex offer. Thats what i meant

    • Why?

    • +1

How do you get the Amex $100 back? I have an Amex card but I can't figure out how you do this. Please explain!
